Young Colombian influencer shares her devastated reaction after her stepdad was brutally shot dead at ATM

A businessman - and stepfather to a successful influencer - was shot dead at shopping center in Colombia after he was reportedly threatened by business associates.

Janer Parra, 43, went to withdraw money from an ATM when two gunmen approached him and opened fire last Friday in Puerto Colombia, a coastal town in the department of Atlántico.

Parras murder left his stepdaughter, Colombian influencer Karol Alcendra, searching for answers.

Alcendra, who is known on social media as La Karola, shared a pair of photos of her with Parra and the family on Instagram Stories.

Following Parras murder, the suspects fled in a luxury vehicle, which authorities still have not located as of Thursday.

A law enforcement source told Colombian news magazine Semana that Parra had been threatened on numerous occasions by investors over a failed business venture.

The official learned from Parras family that he and the group had purchased a boat several months ago with the intention of renting it to clientele along the countrys Caribbean coast.

However, Parras business partners allegedly grew restless because they were not seeing the profits they expected and raised the idea of selling the vessel.

According to the information we have, Parra opposed the sale of the ship and told his partners to wait until it would be profitable in time, but the partners apparently opposed it and there was a heated argument, the law enforcement official said.

The businessman allegedly began to receive threats from his partners, but never gave into the pressure from agreeing to sell off the boat.

Authorities have ruled out robbery as the motive of Parras shooting because he still was still in possession of a firearm and 4 million pesos - around $904 - that he had withdrawn.
