Elon Musk showcased his army of the $30,000 robots that are designed to help with household chores at his We, Robot event on Thursday.

Video post by Tesla Owners Silicon Valley showed a man having a conversation with the bot on the street.

What is the hardest thing about being a robot? the man asked the machine.

Trying to learn how to be as human as you guys are, and that is something I try harder every day and hope that will help us become better, the robot replied.

The eerie response stunned commenters on social media, prompting people to draw comparisons to dystopian movies and shows.

The Jetsons here we come, one person said. This is how the movie starts, said another.

Others were impressed by the technology but admitted they were afraid of the robots desire to become more human like.

Cool technology but, just because we can doesn’t mean we should, one person said.

Insanity, humanity is in danger with this, said a second person.

The last 20 seconds of this clip should make your blood go cold. Most wont take this seriously, a third person said.

Some commenters were not as impressed, saying the robots chat was boring.

Now I know that small talk with a robot will be as cringe as with a human, one person said.

The event We, Robot, held in Los Angeles, showcased Teslas driverless Robotaxi, a futuristic autonomous car without steering wheel, pedals, or rear window.

However, the Optimus stole the show with one robot bartending at the event.

Standing behind a small bar, the nearly six-foot-tall humanoid donned a cowboy hat, bowtie and suspenders as it poured beverages for wide-eyed attendees.

People marveled at the innovation, specifically that Optimus did not ask for a 25 percent tip on an iPad, while others called it nothing more than a well-designed puppet.

Musk released shocking and impressive footage of the humanoid robots the showed them stiffly walking in single file across a stage while viewers stood jaw-dropped on the sidelines.

The Tesla CEO said attendees could walk up to the Optimus robots who would do things like serve drinks.

At scale, you should be able to buy an Optimus robot for $20,000 to $30,000, he said.

It can walk your dog, mow your lawn, get the groceries, just be your friend.
