An old business partner who turned on former first son Hunter Biden has received a pardon from President Donald Trump after claiming he was wrongly prosecuted.

While speaking to reporters during a Cabinet meeting, the president signed the pardon for Devon Archer, an ex-business associate of the younger Biden.
Archer testified before Congress about the Biden familys suspicious foreign dealings.
Devin Archer was a former business partner of the Biden family, Trump aide Will Scharf while handing the president the official executive action.
Hes was prosecuted relating to a fraud investigation, but notably, the tone and tenor of that prosecution changed dramatically after he began to cooperate with congressional investigators and serve as a witness against Hunter Biden and the Biden family.
We believe that was an injustice, Trumps assistant continued.
The president then remarked that many people have asked him to relieve Archer of his consequences, telling the room I think he was treated very unfairly.
And I looked at the record, studied the record, [it] said he was a victim of a crime, as far as Im concerned, Trump said. So were gonna undo that.

Archer was convicted in 2018 of defrauding a Native American tribe after selling $60 million in fraudulent tribal bonds.
He says he was a victim of his business deals with the Biden family, though he has not spoken to Hunter in at least five years.
I was a victim of financial fraud in which I invested a lot of money and was taken down on a whistleblower that was blowing the whistle on Hunter, Archer told Fox News Jesse Watters on Monday night.
Archer claimed he was collateral damage from a probe into the former presidents son.
Archers case went to the Supreme Court twice but was most recently shot down after the justices declined to hear his appeal in the Native American fraud case.
The decision meant that the former Biden business partner was due to spend time behind bars.
On Fox News Monday evening Archer shared that he believed the Biden family would protect him from prosecution, but despite his outreach to Hunter Biden, they refused to help him.
The businessman later exposed to a congressional panel under oath that the former first son used to put his powerful father, who was vice president at the time, on the phone when discussing deals with prospective business partners.

Hunter Biden and Devon Archer used to work together
Though Archer never alleged that Joe or Hunter Biden ever committed any wrongdoing, he has noted that his role with the younger Biden was to sell the brand of the political family in his business dealings with them.
Hunter Biden was involved with several overseas companies in the last decade with footprints in China and Ukraine.
Hunter Biden was a part of Ukrainian energy company Burisma, where he held a board seat from 2014 to 2019. He was also the founding member of BHR Partners, a Chinese investment firm.
The congressional investigation was a part of an impeachment inquiry into the Biden familys overseas business dealings.
I think it was it was entirely appropriate for the President, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, told DailyMail.com of the pardon.
