A Wisconsin teenage drunk driver who killed a jogger in a shameless hit and run sent her mother to find the victims dead body, police said.

Addison Bowell, 17, of Menomonie has been accused of killing Ann Seidl, 54, of Eau Claire on Saturday morning in the Town of Dunn.

The driver was allegedly intoxicated when she struck the mother-of-three before fleeing the scene and going home to tell her mother what happened.

The driver of the vehicle got home and admitted to her mother that she had struck something, wasnt real clear what she had hit, Dunn County Sheriff Kevin Bygd told WEAU

So the mother left shortly there after, maybe about an hour later after her daughter arrived home, and shes actually the one who found the victim laying in a ditch.

Bowells mother made the 911 call at 7:14 am, according to a statement from the Dunn County Sheriffs Office.

Police then rushed to the grim site of Seidls death - a ditch off the side of the highway.

It should be noted that she was wearing bright clothing, including a reflective traffic safety vest and was running on the correct side of the highway when struck, the sheriffs office said in the statement.

Bowell was later arrested for OWI First Offense, Hit and Run Causing Death, Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle, as well as several other traffic offenses.

The accused killers bond was set at $100,000 cash at a hearing on Monday and she is due to appear back in court on Wednesday.

Bowell had a previous legal run-in on March 14, when she was cited by police for underage drinking, KARE11 reported.

Seidls loved ones have been left to grieve the untimely loss of the cherished member of her local running community.

The dedicated athlete hardly ever ran alone, as her favorite jogging partner was her son Parker, who has Down syndrome.

The mother-son duo was known to pair up through an organization called Team Triumph, which helps runners with disabilities make it across the finish line.

In each pair through the nonprofit, there is an Angel - which was Seidl in this case - and a Captain, who was Parker.

Seidl attended almost every local race with Parker by her side, Heather Market-Sullivan of the Eau Claire Marathon Race Committee told KARE11.

Someone like Ann makes you feel good. You could tell she would believe in you. She believed in everybody, no matter your goal, she said to the outlet.

In a heartfelt Facebook tribute, the Eau Claire Marathon Race Committee praised Seidl for her determination and devotion to her community.

The post reads: If you’ve participated in an Eau Claire Marathon event over the years, or are involved in the wider Eau Claire running community, chances are you’ve crossed paths with the famous mother/son duo of Parker Abts and his mom, Ann Seidl.

From running her own races (Ann BQ’d at ECM in 2016!) to supporting Parker’s journey from the kids’ run to half marathon, Ann is a longtime ECM Legacy Runner.

She was one of our most dedicated participants, and we will deeply miss seeing her both on the course and cheering for Parker.

Team Triumph has established a fundraiser to collect donations in Seidls memory to support inclusive race experiences for other Captains and Angels.

On the donations website, Seidls friends and family shared how they will remember her.

One loved one wrote: Ann was a wonderful example of a mother’s love and will be greatly missed. Parker, the running community is here for you.

We shared so many miles together. Bonded over raising boys and having kids with disabilities. Parker and Ann have been such a big part of my spring and summer running team. Im just devastated, another added.
