Celebrity tough guy Ant Middleton has ranted on social media at the recklessness and negligence of Wikipedia.

The former SAS: Who Dares Wins presenter, 44, raged on X that the free online encyclopedia had falsely reported on his conviction against a police officer.

In 2013, Middleton was convicted of assaulting a female officer outside an Essex nightclub that led to a 14-month prison sentence, of which he served four months behind bars.

Friends of PC Katherine Alison, who he attacked, told The Mail on Sunday in 2020 that she remained traumatised by the attack.

At the time, PC Alison thought Middleton had killed her patrol partner, PC Christopher Brooksbank when he body-slammed him on to a pavement. Fearing he would also beat her up, she sprayed Middleton with CS gas.

In his latest rant, Middleton wrote: I cant believe the complete and utter recklessness and negligence of @Wikipedia. After multiple exchanges with @Wikipedia to remove/change their false statement, it is very obvious that this is personal and a direct attack on my character.

I thought @Wikipedia a relatively reliable source of information but it would seem that they get their misinformation from newspapers articles and hearsay.

Their damaging and false statement that I was arrested in 2012 for unlawfully wounding a female police officer couldnt be further from the truth and Im astonished that they would write something so personal and career damaging without complete reassurance of the facts!

I have never laid a finger on a woman and I never will… FACT!

It would seem that theyve jumped on the smearing campaign. I will not be deterred. Please spread this far and wide until they rectify this HUGE error! #boycottwikipedia #anotherfakenewsplatform

PC Alison suffered whiplash injuries as a result of the incident and was withdrawn from frontline police duties. She also subsequently transferred away from Essex Police.

She told a friend in 2020: Even today, Im anxious doing patrols at night. Hes no role model. I wanted to meet him and talk it through but heard nothing back.

Afghanistan veteran Middleton, who served in the UKs elite Special Boat Service - the sister unit of the SAS, also spoke out last month about on London mayor, Sadiq Khan, claiming he has to go.

Writing on X, father-of-five Ant said: We need to free both our country and its capital simultaneously from their twisted grips (putting it politely) if we are to ever rebuild Britain back to a bigger, better and more unified version of itself.

With these two at the helm, division will always be at the bow! Secure the perimeter and cleanse from the inside…

Middleton, who was sacked from his role as chief instructor on the Channel 4s SAS: Who Dares Wins? back in 2021 over a series of controversial tweets, also appears eager to step into the frontlines of politics.

In recent weeks the former soldier has been ramping up his political action on social media - branding the PM spineless while sharing posts from Reform UK.

Middleton has come under fire for the using the phrase cleanse in his tweets.

Cleanse? Ethnically? Is that what you mean Ant? one person wrote on X.

In September Middleton took to the stage at Reform UKs rally in Birmingham, where he warned the UK was on the brink of civil unrest unless action was taken to put British culture at the forefront of everything.

Middleton said an umbrella identity of British culture was needed to ensure there are rules and regulations which everyone needs to adhere to and prevent division.

He also said the UK needed to toughen up its borders and tackle the illegal migrant crisis.

We havent got a secure camp because we dont know whos coming in, he said.
