The rock singer who recently raised eyebrows by de-transitioning from a woman back to a man has now declared that transgender ideology is a threat to biological women.
The artist formerly known as Mina Caputo made the assertion in a recent post to Instagram, where on Wednesday he laid bare the reasoning for his change of heart.
The 50-year-old front man of Life of Agony now asked to now be referred to as Keith - the name he was born with.
He further revealed how he had a surgery scheduled to remove his breasts, and that he had been off hormones for several years.
I’ve cured my gender dysphoria. It took many years, he said in a self-filmed video as he walked New York Citys streets. A lot of walking through the fire, but I rose above my misunderstandings of my soul and my spirit, he added - spawning a storm of scrutiny.
The singer, whose band is based in Brooklyn, began identifying as Mina in 2008. He publicly came out as trans in 2011, before performing as a woman for more than a decade.
In his Wednesday video, Caputo revealed he had been off hormones for the last six to seven years - leading to an array of incendiary comments about his appearance.
Such criticism - as well as fierce debate surrounding whether transgender women should be allowed in the same competitions as those born women biologically - appeared to elicit a response out of the rocker in October, when he was in the midst of his about-face.

Caputo, seen in 2014, claims to have cured his gender dysmorphia. In another post, he declared that transgender ideology is a threat to biological women
I can’t believe how s t u pid[sic] and cowardly people are. And became, Caputo began.
Absolutely disgraceful. What a disappointment. Feminism gone bad 101. I’m a man, and I’m more of a feminist than the feminists.
Attached was a still from the anthology series The Twilight Zone, where showrunner Rod Serling appeared to be introducing a concept concurrent with his point - illustrated with a caption meant to be read as one of the writers rants aired at the start of each episode.
Imagine saying you stand for womens[sic] rights while letting dominate womens[sic] sports and nominating men for woman of the year, it read.
Caputo added: I’m proud of myself for never throwing out shade and lies about what I go through.
Having gender dysphoria or some kind of body dimorphism doesn’t make your biological self magically change, he went on to insist.
It’s all in the mental. In a particular spot in the brain.
As a sign-off, the singer wrote: I’m proud to stand up for biological Women... I won’t stop. I don’t care who wets their diaper. I’m not afraid of the pushback.

The post has since received more than 4,500 likes, and came at a time when discourse surrounding the subject could not be more heated.
Controversies surrounding figures like Dylan Mulvaney, the transgender activist now known for her ill-fated partnership with Bud Light, and gold-medal-winning boxer Imane Khelif of Algeria come to mind - and seem to be at the forefront of Caputos as well.
Mulvaney was born a male but has since transitioned to being a woman, while Khelif was falsely labeled as transgender by far-right activists.
Khelif was assigned female at birth and it says so on her passport, but she was disqualified from the 2023 world championships after failing unspecified and transparent eligibility tests.
Outcry has come from conservatives like soon-to-be President Donald Trump and Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni since, centered around the International Olympic Committees (IOC) threshold for fighter eligibility.
Both politicians have pointed to inconsistencies between the sports governing body and the IOC, after the IBA disqualified Khelif from the final of the 2023 world championships due to high levels of testosterone in her system.
The circumstances surrounding that disqualification have since come into question, as Khelif has filed a lawsuit against the French media for reports claiming the 25-year-old has XY (male) chromosomes, while calling it all a big conspiracy.

Just last week, former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki urged Americans to not join in on bad-faith attacks against the transgender community after a Congressional Democrat slammed his partys views on trans athletes
She went on to win Olympic gold amid the gender eligibility row, whereas Mulvaney - around this time last year - was controversially named Woman of the Year by British magazine Attitude.
The London-based publication presented Mulvaney with the title at an awards show in October of 2023, leading to a lengthy speech - and seemingly the post from Caputo a year later.
Some see me as the woman of the year, some see me as a woman of a year and some change, Mulvaney, 27, said at the time.
And some people dont see me as a woman at all.
She went on to remark how she only publicly came out online 560 days ago. before rocketing to fame thanks to her TikTok series Days of Girlhood, which tracked her transition.
She went on to gush about how she was grateful the award was being given in the U.K. rather than the US, before referencing the then brewing backlash over a subsequent endorsement from Bud Light.
I came to London on holiday this summer after months of feeling isolated and when I arrived, I didnt feel that baggage that I was carrying back in the US, Mulvaney said at the time.

And I didnt feel like the trans beer girl... I romanticized this country as a safe place.
The baggage she had referenced came in the form of disapproval from American audiences turned off by the concept of a transgender woman gracing the cans of their favorite beer.
Just last week, former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki urged Americans to not join in on bad-faith attacks against the transgender community after Congressional Democrat Seth Moulton slammed his partys views on trans athletes.
Speaking on the air on MSNBC, she claimed that such attacks have ramped up in the wake of Donald Trumps win over Kamala Harris, and went on to warned her fellow Democrats accordingly.
She told them not to fall for that noise, and that the issue involving transgender athletes in sports has merely been blown out of proportion.
If that were actually an issue at thousands of schools across the country, it would be worthy of a debate, Psaki said in response to Moultons widely circulated comments.
But there are incredibly few examples of transgender girls playing in youth sports.
When I say few examples, I mean that if you were to count the examples of transgender girls playing youth sports in any single state, the number often rounds to zero, she continued.
And yet the noise on this issue has been constant. And according to Donald Trump, that is on purpose.
The host of Inside with Jen Psaki then claimed prospective bans on transgender athletes would only affect one or two people - and panned legislators in more than 20 states.
She accused them of not being able to cite a single instance in their own state or region where a transgender athlete competing was a problem.
As she spoke, a chyron on the screen insisted: GOP amplifies bad-faith attacks on trans community.
Psaki did not stop there, taking a full 12 minutes to address the issue.
Such discourse seemed to gain prominence after transgender swimmer Lia Thomas won an event in the 2022 college championships, spurring some sanctioning bodies to take action.
Track and field banned trans athletes from international competition in March 2023, but trans runners are still allowed to compete in the Paralympics.
New Zealands Laurel Hubbard was the first openly trans woman to compete in the Olympic Games, paving the way for others to follow. She is seen here in Tokyo in 2021, where she did not medal
South African long distance athlete Caster Semenya is also transgender. Track and field banned trans athletes from international competition in March of last year. Trans athletes are still allowed in the Paralympics, where Valentina Petrillo of Team Italy competed
Since 2020, some 23 states have passed laws restricting transgender athletes ability to participate in school sports, though the laws vary from state to state.
In April, the US took its first steps to address the situation on the federal level.
The House of Representatives passed HR 734, which sought to make it illegal to allow individuals of the male sex to participate in programs or activities that are designated for women or girls.
The bill further stated that sex shall be recognized based solely on a persons reproductive biology and genetics at birth, but it has yet to be taken up by the Senate.
It had been unlikely to become law -until Republicans flipped the Senate a few days ago.
Meanwhile, the legal patchwork created by state laws has created a series of local lawsuits - at least one of which is likely to end up being heard by the Republican-dominated Supreme Court.
States that already restrict athlete participation include Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, South Dakota, Iowa, Indiana, Utah, Missouri, Kentucky, West Virginia, Arizona, Kansas, Arizona, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas and Florida.

Moulton, a 46-year-old progressive who ran unopposed to retain his seat this month, spoke on the subject in the immediate wake of Trumps win.
He chided fellow Democrats for spend[ing] way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face.
I have two little girls, I dont want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat Im supposed to be afraid to say that, he told the New York Times.
New York Rep. Tom Suozzi, a Democrat who won ousted Rep. George Santos seat on Long Island, followed suit, saying: The Democrats have to stop pandering to the far left. I dont want to discriminate against anybody, but I dont think biological boys should be playing in girls sports.
He further claimed that Democrats arent saying that, and they should be.
Trump, meanwhile, has made no secret of his sentiments, saying he would just ban trans athletes from participating in sports opposite their biological gender.
Psaki on Sunday appeared to home in on this - along with the fact that the Senate, House, and Supreme Court are all now aligned.
Democrat Seth Moulton has slammed the Democrat Partys views on transgender athletes earlier this month
She said its important not to yield to manufactured panic, and to align with the actual facts before making sweeping claims.
Echoing and adopting the panic from the other side is not leading, she insisted. Its not meeting people where they are.
Its simply falling prey to right-wing propaganda without checking the facts first.
As for the NCAA, following Thomass title win, it said it would defer responsibility to each sports sanctioning bodies.
