Recruiter slams entitled Gen Z worker after bold demand leaves him stunned
A recruiter has been left shocked when a young worker who was looking for a job stipulated that any role she applies for must be a four-day working week only.

Superior People Recruitment founder Graham Wynn has been left thinking the younger generation are entitled after the young woman told him the reason she wanted three-day weekends.
She said she gets very busy at the weekend and wants Fridays to get everything organised for the other two days off, he told Yahoo.
But the recruiter has warned young workers they need to be careful what workplace perks they request.
I think a lot of people who work these days in the younger generation, its more about whats in it for them, rather than what can they give the employer, he said.
Mr Wynn said another recent worker he came across proved the younger generation are just thinking about themselves because he wanted to start work at 8am rather than 7am as it was more convenient for him.
The recruitment company founder said it is symptomatic of a society that never says no to the younger generation.
You ask your parents for something, you get it. If you get a speeding fine, your parents pay for it, Mr Wynn said.

Everythings done for you, and therefore you dont suffer consequences.
Realistic Careers recruitment expert and career coach Tammie Christofis Ballis told Daily Mail Austraila she whole-heartedly agrees with the sentiment.
Its like that participation award for trying. That doesnt happen in the real world, she said.
Youre in competition with others. This is what the young kids dont understand.
Its not all the sports trophies where everyone gets one. That doesnt happen at work.
Youre not going to get a participation award for going to a job interview.
The recruitment guru believes the younger generation are looking at applying for jobs all wrong.
They cant go into a business and dictate what their terms and conditions will be, especially if the business hasnt advertised it.
You need to show how youre going to be the best person, how youre going to add value, she said.
They make it about them instead of focusing on the business and asking "how can I solve your problems?"
Employers are hiring problem-solvers.
The coach also believes there is a misunderstanding among young workers about what the four-day work week entails.

They dont realise that you have to do the full 38 or 40-hours in the four days, she said.
Ms Tammie Christofis Ballis believes the four-day work week is a great initiative for people with training experience and if its suitable for their workplace and industry - and thinks Australia will see more of it.
I think its another way companies will get around working from home and offer it as a perk, she said.
Companies will say "come to the office four days a week, youre going to be here nine-and-a-half hours but youll get a three-day weekend".
The four-day work week has been controversial but recently-released research from Swinburne University from a 2023 study showed ten companies that trialled the new work week had success, news.com.au reported.
Bosses gave the four-day work week a 9.25 out of ten, with most employers choosing to keep the new way to work.
In early October, Medibank announced it would be expanding its four-day work week to include 500 workers.
A six-month trial at the company found staff were happier, more efficient and even healthier.
