Springfield officials have denied the rumors, telling DailyMail.com on Monday that there have been no credible reports or specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community.

The AG said that the migrant influx has strained the state social services and said the federal government has not worked with local officials to prepare for the newcomers.

Vances post added: Do you know whats confirmed? That a child was murdered by a Haitian migrant who had no right to be here. That local health services have been overwhelmed. That communicable diseases--like TB and HIV--have been on the rise. That local schools have struggled to keep up with newcomers who dont know English. That rents have risen so fast that many Springfield families cant afford to put a roof over their head.

Springfield resident Jeff Allen told WKEF that he has heard many complaints about the migrants reckless driving.
I think the main thing that people were concerned about is driving. The reckless driving, not knowing how to drive and being on the streets, and the amount of accidents that have been occurring, he said.
