Rocky the Jack Russell ended up getting himself into heaps of trouble dashing into the scavenging hunters countryside lair.
The naughty white and brown dog was heard desperately fighting the animal in a hole before failing to emerge - sparking a frantic rescue by former actor and Reclaim party leader Fox and his conspiracy theory podcaster fiancée, Elizabeth Baker.
The pair attempted to dig the pet out with a spade, before Fox drove to a nearby pub to recruit the help of local punters.
Eventually, the 46-year-old even managed to rope in a volunteer with a digger to reach the stranded Jack Russell and pull it free.

Chronicling the rescue effort online, Fox said: There is no more terrifying sound than a dog trapped underground fighting whatever was in the hole.
We got some shovels and some lovely dog walkers helped to dig. But he was so deep underground. Spades weren’t going to do it.
I drive to the pub and asked if anyone knew someone with a digger. And yes I did have a pint. A few phone calls and people dropped everything to come and help.

In the clip, Foxs fiancée Elizabeth says: My goodness, thank you so much. He would never have got out of there without you guys digging the hole - Im so grateful.

Laurence was later full of praise for those who stepped up to help save the trapped dog.
We are so blessed with neighbours and people who will drop anything to help others on a Sunday, he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
This is why I love the countryside. Nothing is ever too much bother. People always want to help. To Pat and Tanya. Thank you so much for brotherly love and the true and lasting generosity of the English community spirit.
People on social media also celebrated those involved in the rescue.
Real England, real humanity. Difficult to find it in very big cities and capital cities, one person said on X.
Speaking of Rockys ordeal, another person added: He was very lucky to have made it out alive and Im glad he did! Must have been terrifying for him!
