It is notoriously difficult to find a parking spot in London, with spaces costing as much as £62 per hour, but one car has taken that difficulty to new heights.

The parked car has been spotted in east London this morning where it is suspended from the Truman brewery chimney, in Brick Lane, Shoreditch.

It has left passer-bys scratching their head as to how the car even got there.

The vehicle is not actually a car at all. Instead its made from fibreglass and is one and half times the size of a normal Qashqai.

It took around seven weeks to make and was hoisted into position using two cranes before being installed on the 49-metre-high 200-year-old chimney.

Around 50 people involved in the planning and activation of the stunt.

It will remain on the chimney until Sunday  and is part of an ongoing campaign to celebrate the launch of the new Nissan Qashqai, which is manufactured in Sunderland.

A spokesperson for the car manufacturer said: Were very proud of this British-built model and wanted to show if off for everyone to see.

So, we figured why not park it in a place where it cant be missed.

To date, more than four million Nissan Qashqai have been made in Sunderland since the first ones rolled off the production line in 2006.

And around 140,000 e-Power Qashqai have been produced in the north east since 2022.

The newest model is described as sleeker, sportier and having a bolder design than previous models with the interior having been upgraded.

It comes with Google built-in, including the tech brands mapping app, and an Around View Monitor which aims to make parking in difficult spots easier.
