A mother and her three young children have been found dead in their home under mysterious circumstances.
Bodies of the 37-year-old woman and kids aged 2, 5 and 7, were discovered about 3pm on Tuesday at 328 North 15th Street in Cornelius, Oregon.
Police have not released the names of the deceased, any indication of how they died, or their relationship to the person who found them and called 911.
The childrens father was known to neighbors but was not harmed, and it was not clear if he was at the home when his family was killed.
Washington County Sheriffs Deputy David Huey said investigators do not believe there is a danger to the public, and no arrests were made.
This is a pretty tragic event. This is a small community between Cornelius and North Plains, and its going to hit them hard, he said.
The indications we have so far is this was an isolated incident.

The bodies were in a building attached to the house, not the main house itself.

Neighbors said the mother took two of the children to Cornelius Elementary School every day like clockwork and the father was also seen coming and going.
The family did not speak much English, which limited their communication with neighbors, but they always smiled and waved and the kids played outside.
The home caught fire about three months ago, forcing the family to temporarily move out, but they returned after the damage was repaired.
