Hilarious moment BBC newsreader Alice Bhandhukravi is caught running across studio to her desk during live broadcast

A BBC newsreader was caught running across the studio back to her desk during a live broadcast.

A BBC newsreader was caught running across the studio back to her desk during a live broadcast.

Alice Bhandhukravi can be seen rushing to her seat as the BBC news jingle plays, desperately trying to stay calm and composed.

As she settles into her seat, she then lets out a wide smile to acknowledge her funny mistake.

Despite having to run to her seat, the newsreader continued to read the headlines with precision and accuracy for the BBC London broadcast.

Taking to social media, the presenter joked: I have apparently qualified for the 10m dash (across the studio) in the 2028 Games, before adding: Wait til you see me moonwalk.

People on X, formerly known as Twitter, loved the clip, with one person writing: Go Alice! Didnt skip a beat, what a pro.

Another said: So thats why Ive spotted some of them wearing trainers.

A third wrote: I’ve always been a firm believer that newsreaders should run to their desks.

A fourth also added: Well done @AliceBhand @BBCLondonNews. No one noticed. Very smooth indeed.

Last week, a mortified BBC host was caught scrolling on her phone for an entire minute during a live broadcast.

Annita McVeigh, 46, was left visibly red-faced as she realised the lunchtime news bulletins were thrown into total silence as she scrolled on her phone during a technical blunder.

Blissfully unaware of the awkward silence, Annita was seen looking through her iPhone and talking to her production team.

In July, another BBC newsreader broke down in giggles after asking viewers to send in pictures if youve done your business.

Clearly realising what he was saying just to late as the words escaped his mouth, Steve Saul sniggered as he struggled to close the latest installment of North West Today.

He promptly took to X, formerly Twitter, to correct himself, writing: Please DON’T send us pictures of your business!! Doh!

But it did not stop some viewers having a laugh at the presenters expense.

One commenter wrote: I mean it’s one way to hand back downstairs I suppose…
