Hilarious moment Aussie bloke gets his tongue stuck on an ice display at Sydney's Pitt Street Mall

An Aussie bloke has quickly became the centre of attention after his tongue became stuck to a large block of ice at a busy shopping precinct. 

The blunder was captured by shoppers at Sydneys busy Pitt Street Mall as dozens of Aussies went about their Christmas shopping this week. 

Only in Sydney, a bystander captioned the video on social media. 

Walked past a frozen block of ice in Pitt St Mall, and some idiot got their tongue stuck on the ice.

The man tried not to panic as he struggled to free himself from the ice.

A member of staff tapped the man on the shoulder to try and get him to move away before running to grab a bottle of water after realising he was stuck. 

She poured the water into the mans open mouth as amused shoppers watched on. 

Comments on the video were mostly unsympathetic, with many lambasting the man for the foolish act.

Others noticed the display was advertising energy drinks and questioned whether if the faux pas was actually a publicity stunt.

How can you get your tongue stuck in 30 degree heat, one said. 

Yeah its not that cold outside, this generally happens in sub zero weather where the ice isnt melting. Dude could literally use the warmth from his hands to melt his tongue off if the 30 degree weather doesnt do it first, another agreed.
