Have cops cracked case of Texas realtor who vanished screaming from mansion by charging husband with murder?

As the one month milestone of Suzanne Simpsons disappearance passed, cops announced a major update: her husband has been charged with murder.

As the one month milestone of Suzanne Simpsons disappearance passed, cops announced a major update: her husband has been charged with murder.

Now the mother-of-fours friends, family and broader San Antonio community are anxiously awaiting more information: a body, a motive, anything that proves she is truly gone forever.

She was last seen on October 6 by a neighbor at the $1.5million mansion she shared with her husband Brad, 53. The duo were arguing and made their way into nearby bushland, where the neighbor heard screams.

Suzannes closest friends have rallied this past month to keep her memory alive, sharing stories about a kind and vivacious woman who made the world better, brighter and more beautiful.

Brad Chandler Simpson, 53, of Olmos Park - four miles north of San Antonio - was arrested just three days after his wife Suzanne Clark Simpson, 51, went missing

Theyve raised $15,000 for the National Domestic Violence Hotline and set about educating women about the signs of abuse.

Securing a murder conviction without a body is no easy feat, but Suzannes loved ones have faith in investigators, who themselves have vowed not to give up in their search.

Brad Simpsons own brother, who has been one of his most outspoken critics, said the latest charge brings our family some peace.

It is heartbreaking, but it brings our family some peace to know that authorities have gathered sufficient evidence to feel confident in moving forward with charges, Barton Simpson told MySA

This also helps us to come to terms with the reality that Suzanne is no longer with us.

He said the charge allows his family to begin a difficult grieving process and focus on rebuilding our lives, especially for the sake of the children and our extended family.

Suzannes daughter Chandler, 20, alleged that her mother was the victim of abuse at the hands of her father.

She claimed that Simpson took my mothers life in a state of rage and control.

I will not stop speaking as the voice of my mother until she is found. I will forever represent all victims of domestic abuse and assault.

As my mothers daughter I will tell our story over and over again. With every breath, I will make sure you remember her name. Suzanne Simpson was a victim of abuse and a victim of this community. Beyond being a victim, she was a phenomenal mother, hardworking, driven, loving and kind, she added.

Bond reduced for Simpsons business partner

On the same day that police announced the murder charge, Brad Simpsons longtime business associate James Cotter had his bond amount slashed from $1million to $100,000.

Cotter has been held on two felony charges relating to the investigation into Suzannes disappearance.

Hes accused of removing one of Simpsons guns - an AK-47 - from his home and hiding it in his own home.

The timing of the bond reduction that coincided with the murder charge has sparked questions within the tightknit community.

According to an arrest affidavit, Simpson text Cotter the day after formally reporting Suzanne missing, writing: If youre in Bandera, can you haul ass to meet me at your house?

I dont have much time, the initial text read, according to KENS5.

Charges gradually mounting against Simpson

Simpson was arrested just three days after his wife disappeared on charges of domestic violence and unlawful restraint.

Two weeks later new felony charges were added after Cotters arrest.

Now, Olmos Park Police say there is enough evidence against him to proceed with a murder charge.

The exact details of the charge have been sealed for 30 days, but police revealed theyre continuing to search key locations in pursuit of justice.

They said a home in Bandera County remains a location of interest.

Police had searched a landfill site in San Antonio last month where they claimed at the time there is a good chance of finding her - but have made no further announcements regarding this search.

Family hoped she would escape relationship

The missing mother-of-fours own mom, Barbara Clark, revealed the haunting phone call she had with Suzanne just an hour before she was last seen.

Speaking at a vigil set up to honor Suzanne at Lourdes Grotto, Clark said: She called me up and told me things Brad had done to her physically.

Clark said Suzanne confided in her that about 9pm that night, October 6, Simpson had injured her arm and her back.

I came up with an alternative plan for her that she would move in with me and have her little toddler go to the elementary school in my neighborhood.

I never got to tell her the plan.
