EXCLUSIVETrump pressured to end radical EV mandate in his first 100 days or else face 2035 green energy dystopia

President-elect Donald Trump is being pushed to reverse Joe Bidens radical electric vehicle (EV) policies within the first 100 days hes back in the White House.

The Alliance for Consumers - a consumers advocacy nonprofit - is urging Trump to take action as soon as possible.

Theyve launched a new campaign called 2035 showing how Bidens energy agenda would derail American lives if left unchanged, DailyMail.com can exclusively report.

The six-figure video ad campaign shows a dystopian America based in 2035 where citizens emissions and energy use are closely monitored. The clip could easily be mistaken for a scene of Netflixs Black Mirror

Its a film the politicians like Gavin Newsom and liberal elites do not want the American public to see, Alliance for Consumers Executive Director O.H. Skinner told DailyMail.com in a statement.

While they push EV and appliance mandates onto consumers under the guise of protecting the climate, they are really pushing a move to practically control everyday Americans lives and limit their choices on products at the grocery store, at home, and almost everywhere in between.

The video paints a vivid, alarming picture of where Americans will end up if progressives have their way, adds Skinner.

The timing behind the campaign is to add pressure on to the incoming Trump administration to roll back Bidens electric vehicle policies within the first 100 days.

And especially now that electric car company Telsa owner and billionaire Elon Musk is in Trumps close circle of trusted advisers, Alliance for Consumers wants the pressure on the president-elect ramped up.

Meanwhile, Trumps recent nominations of former Rep. Lee Zeldin to serve as the head of the Environmental Protection Agency and Liberty Energy CEO Chris Wright to lead the Department of Energy is giving hope to anti-EV advocates.

Zeldin has frequently critiqued environmental protection policies that constrict U.S. consumers.

Wright, meanwhile, is the founder and CEO of Liberty Energy, an oilfield services firm which presumably has an interest seeing gas-powered vehicles stay on U.S. roads.

Wright is expected to support Trumps plan to maximize production of oil and gas and to seek ways to boost generation of electricity, demand for which is rising for the first time in decades.

He is also likely to share Trumps opposition to global cooperation on fighting climate change.

Wright has called climate change activists alarmist and has likened efforts by Democrats to combat global warming to Soviet-style communism.

The Biden administration issued one of the most significant climate regulations in the nations history in 2022.

It was designed to ensure that the majority of new passenger cars and trucks sold in the United States are all-electric or hybrids by 2032.

Skinner and other advocates for cutting back on the EV mandates argue that they restrict consumers options and force them to live net-zero lifestyles.

Notably, California has pledged to end selling normal gas-powered cars by 2035, meaning all cars sold in the state come that year must be a zero-emission vehicle.

The American people made it clear last week that they do not want to end up like California in 2035, where consumer freedom is limited, and everyday people are forced to adhere to a strict net-zero existence, Skinner told DailyMail.com.

This film shows why and the stakes in the fight.

Following a father of a young family through his day in a future California, the main character gets presented with dilemmas resulting from the prioritization of climate policies.

In the short film a father painfully tells his young son the family will not fly to see grandma for the holidays because the family does not have enough pollution expenditure credits.

A FaceTime call to the grandparents will suffice this year, the father says.

When his son goes to take a shower, the father pleads with his kid to not take more than two minutes of hot water, or else they will face eco-related ramifications.

But rolling back EV policies may already be a top priority of the incoming Trump administration.

Trumps transition team is reportedly planning on axing the $7,500 consumer tax credit for EV purchases, two sources told Reuters.

The push would be a part of a larger tax-reform package they said.
