A young boxer and bikie associate who died in a suspected overdose in Vietnam has been farewelled in a rowdy memorial featuring luxury cars, burnouts and a firework display.

Hundreds of mourners gathered at Cranbournes St Agathas Parish in south-east Melbourne on Tuesday to say their goodbyes to Vincent Atulia, 24, after he died alongside mate Andrew Colivas, 25, on August 24 during an overseas boys trip.

Vietnamese authorities are now probing whether the pair mistakenly ingested fentanyl-laced drugs. 

Dressed in black, loved ones and friends piled into the church at 11.30am to pay their respects to Atulia, who was a fighter, member of the CMFEU, and convicted criminal with links to outlaw motorcycle gangs.

A source told Daily Mail Australia that several of Atulias bikie mates, allegedly members of the Comanchero, were among the attendees at the service on Tuesday.

Videos of the memorial posted online show mourners clutching blue balloons lining the churchs driveway in a guard of honour as pallbearers carried Atulias white coffin to a hearse. 

Guarded by a procession of motorbikes and luxury cars - including Harley Davidsons, Mercedes and Lamborghinis with number plates reading GUILTY and ANGRY - the hearse then made its way to the cemetery, where he was lowered into the ground.

While leaving to head to the wake, several cars could be seen performing burnouts on the road, sending clouds of smoke billowing into the air. 

Another video taken later that evening revealed fireworks were set off in Atulias honour, with a friend writing: What a send off it was for you.

However, as friends gathered to say their goodbyes, one of Atulias mates remain stuck overseas.

At the time of their deaths, Atulia and Colivas had been holidaying with a group of mates - including three other Australians, who had been receiving support from the Department of Foreign Affairs in the wake of the tragedy.

In a statement on Wednesday, DFAT said it is now only supporting one Australian stuck in Vietnam.

According to the Herald Sun, the other two men flew out in recent days after being unable to leave after Atulia and Colivas deaths. 

Online fundraising appeals for their families of the two dead men raised more than $100,000, describing Atulia as a God-fearing family man. 

Most that knew Vincent, knew that family and God were always the centre purpose of all that he did in his short life, it read.

He gave his life to provide and protect for his loving family.

But last month Daily Mail Australia revealed, Atulia and Colivas were convicted criminals who had each racked up a series of charges in recent years, including for drugs and violence. 

In June 2020, Atulia was involved in the shooting up of a home in Ferntree Gully, alongside a group of men which included Rebels bikie Scott Rye.

Atulia also mutually followed several underworld figures on social media, including senior Comanchero Bemir Saracevic, who was among the highest donors to his GoFundMe.

Despite their history with the law, both men have been described by relatives as deeply religious, with a tribute for Atulia circulating online in the wake of his funeral labelling him as a true son of God. 

Colivas was farewelled in a separate ceremony at St Peter & Irene Orthodox Church, in Hawthorn East, on Monday.
