Andrea Alexander was working a night shift on Tuesday when she fell victim to the unprovoked attack.
An unidentified man allegedly pulled up to the drive-thru off Jonesboro Road in Union City to pay for his food when he threw a cup of liquid at Andrea - and then drove off.
At first, I thought it was water because it was really cold, she told ANF.
She added, But then I took a breath and my eyes and my nose immediately started burning.

The attack was seemingly motiveless - there was no hostility or issues with the mans food prior to the attack
Unable to open her eyes, she said she heard him driving off - leaving without his food.
Their exchange prior to the assault was normal - or so she thought. Alexander said that there was no hostile energy or issues with his order and has no idea what drove him to do this.
Her mother, La Toya Alexander, is concerned about the establishments alleged lack of response to the incident and how it was handled.
Whatever their procedure is when some type of emergency like that happens, nothing was followed, she told ANF.

Andrea was left traumatized after the incident and said she has been having trouble sleeping since
Thankfully, Andrea doesnt have any serious physical injuries. But the emotional harm it caused is a different story.
The first night, it was hard for me to sleep. I havent really got any sleep just because every time I open my eyes, I see somebody throwing bleach in my face, Andrea added.
She said she has no plans of returning back to work.
Its no secret that fast-food workers frequently face disruptive customers. In some cases, the patrons become abusive.
There have been a stream of videos posted on social media in recent years of customers attacking employees in separate incidents across the country.

In most cases, the attacks appear motiveless.
In July, a Missouri woman got behind the wheel of her car and ran down a store manager of the popular fast-food chain Jack in the Box, after complaining about a missing chicken strip and a lack of ranch dressing, according to the Independent.
A study conducted by the UCLA Labor Center found that half of the fast-food workers they surveyed have experienced verbal abuse and more than a third have experienced violence such as threats, racial slurs and assault.
Andrea is warning other fast-food workers to always stay vigilant on the job.
She added: I hope that if this has happened to anyone else, they reach out.
