BREAKING NEWS Seymour: One man dead and another in custody after fatal stabbing in country Victoria

A man is in custody after a fatal stabbing in Seymour on Victorias Goulburn River.  

Police allege a man was stabbed during an altercation between two men at a home in Heywood Crescent, about 100km north of Melbourne, just before 3am on Saturday.

The man was taken to hospital but died shortly after arriving.

The other man attended Seymour Police Station where he was arrested. 

He is expected to be interviewed by police. 

No charges have yet been laid.

The two men were known to each other, police said. 

A crime scene has been established at the home and an investigation launched.
