BREAKING NEWS Man dies after he is found injured on the side of a road in Griffith

The body of a man has been found on a roadside in the New South Wales Riverina region, sparking an urgent investigation.

Emergency services were called to Watkins Avenue, Griffith shortly after 4.20am and found a man suffering multiple injuries. 

He died at the scene.

NSW Police officers established a crime scene and began their inquiries.

Police are investigating the possibility the man may have been struck by a vehicle.

A canvass of the area is underway to confirm the mans identity.
