A trio of balaclava-wearing thieves creeping towards a home were scared away by its outraged owner in a bizarre moment caught on camera.
The wannabe thieves began their approach towards the Coleshill, Warwickshire, home at around 2:20am on Monday 17 March led by a masked man waving his arms in the air.
Presumably trying to detect a cloning device outside the targeted home, the tracksuit-wearing yob is initially seen patrolling its driveway with a backpack oddly strapped to his front in footage captured by CCTV cameras.
With the trio believed to have been attempting to steal a Ford Ranger pick-up truck parked on the driveway, two of the thieves are then videoed trying to open up the vehicle as their partner mans the front of the home.
Despite all of the arm-waving, however, the thieves were totally unaware that they had awoken the homes owner after his doorbell detected their presence.
Ignoring his wifes advice to not go out, the homeowner, Terry, yelled what the f*** you doing? at the spooked trio who are then seen bolting away from the house towards a vehicle parked nearby.
The doorbell sounded that there was someone walking up the footpath - it woke me up and I looked at my phone to see if it was someone passing by, Terry told the Coventry Telegraph.
I could see there was someone outside with his hands in the air. I checked my other cameras which also sounded an alert.

So I decided to lift the blinds to the window and bang the glass and shout at them. It shocked them and they ran off.
Shockingly, Mondays ordeal is not Terrys first encounter with thieves - his Ford Ranger had been stolen a little over a year ago.
The driver, however, chose not to report the incident this week to Warwickshire Police and accused the force of being useless in retrieving his vehicle when it was taken in January 2024.
We located it a day later and told Warwickshire Police where it was. They told us not to touch it and to phone West Midlands Police to recover it - we ended up getting it ourselves from a house in Sheldon.
We gave the police tracker details and locations where the vehicle stopped but they just drop me text messages every now and then to say theyre still investigating it. They were useless.
Terry had taken measures to ensure his Fords safety after the first theft, including having a ghost alarm and a tracker fitted.
MailOnline approached Warwickshire Police and West Midlands Police for comment.
