Beyoncé fans furious she didnt perform live at Kamala Harris Houston rally: We wanted a free concert!

Beyoncé fans were left furious after the singer failed to perform at a Texas rally for Kamala Harris. 

The star took to the stage in her native Houston to endorse the Vice President on Friday night.

Some fans had waited more than 12 hours before packing into the citys Shell Energy Stadium expecting a performance, after rumors she would sing swirled online and were reported in the Washington Post.

The singer appeared to come tantalizingly close to delighting the crowds when she began to talk about how it is time for America to sing a new song. 

However, rallygoers were ultimately left disappointed when the Single Ladies hitmaker made a brief appearance in which she said she was not there as a celebrity, but as a mother.

Attendees reported seeing people marching towards the exit as soon as she left the stage.

The fury was palpable on social media, where fans complained they had been bamboozled by the billing. 

Bait and switch crowd building, one person fumed. Promised a performance to bring people in and they went streaming to the exits when Beyoncé left the stage.

She cant even deliver on promises to her own followers with a Beyoncé Performance, but yes she will totally close the border and stuff. Kamala Harris is a mess, another added.

Y’all thought yall were gonna catch a free Beyoncé concert, one person joked.

Beyoncé previously performed during her endorsement for Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Beyoncé was joined by her former Destinys Child bandmate Kelly Rowland who helped introduce Harris

Many people had anticipated she might sing her song Freedom from her 2016 album Lemonade, which has been taken on as the Harris campaigns anthem.

And on Friday, she was joined at the event by her former Destinys Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, but did not sing anything from her own or the bands discography. 

Instead, the two introduced Harris to rapturous applause.

We are so happy to be standing here on this stage as proud country Texas women supporting and celebrating the one and only Vice President Kamala Harris, she said. 

We are are at the precipice of an incredible shift, brink of history, Beyoncé said.

The singer added she was appearing as someone, who cares deeply about the world my children and all our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies.

Imagine our daughters growing up seeing whats possible with no ceilings, no limitations, she said.

The singer said she was speaking as a mother rather than a celebrity as she outlined her support for Harris position on womens rights

Other celebrities who endorsed Harris on Friday included Jessica Alba

Fans took to X to vent their frustrations, with many saying they felt bamboozled by the appearance

She also told the roaring crowd to imagine the sacrifices their grandmothers have made so we can witness the strength of a woman standing in her power, reimagining what leadership is.

Beyoncé addressed everyone stating your vote is one of the most valuable tools, and we need you.

She said Texas has a role to play and needs to be part of something bigger.

Its time for America to sing a new song, she said.

Prior to that, Rowland spoke and told the crowd that Houston has already had a hand in creating destiny.

We are grabbing back the pen from those who are trying to write an American story that would deny the right for women to make our own decisions about our bodies, Rowland said.

Singer and guitarist Willie Nelson was the only live  musical performance of the night

 We are grabbing back the pen, that pen to forge a new path with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, she said. The singer revealed she already cast her ballot for them.

They were not the only celebrities to take the stage in Texas. Actress and business woman Jessica Alba also spoke and music legend Willie Nelson performed.
