J.P. Eggers, the interim dean of the Stern School, was one of 1,400 signatories to a letter titled It’s Time for America’s Business Leaders to Speak Out Against the Threat Trump Poses to Our Republic.
Written in October 2020, the missive declares it unacceptable and immoral to remain silent about how Trump is unfit to lead and is a threat to the Republic.
The letter was drafted by Professor Deepak Malhotra of Harvard Business School and signed by 21 different faculty members from NYU Stern.

Mixon, Jr., Diane Lennard, Jared Watson, Taylor Phillips, Linyun Yang, Geeta Menon, Tensie Whelan, Robert Wosnitzer, Jeffrey Younger, Elyse Douglas joined Eggers as employees of the school who signed the letter at the time.
In May, Eggers was to be appointed interim dean of the vaunted business school on July 1.
He has worked as a professor of management and organizations dating back to July 2008.
He served as Vice Dean for MBA and Graduate Programs from 2018 to 2024.
DailyMail.com has reached out to the Stern School of Business for comment.
