The Young Nationals have been called out after Australians exposed an embarrassing election gaffe.
The youth division of the National Party of Australia took to Facebook on Saturday to share an update on their election campaign.
A series of pictures was shared showing Nationals leader David Littleproud on the campaign trail with younger members in Bathurst, in the Central Tablelands of NSW.
With three weeks to go, were out in force across Calare, the post read.
Young Nats were out door-knocking with our Federal Leader @davidlittleproud.mp , backing @samfarraway to be the strong local voice the central west needs.
From the cost-of-living crisis caused by Labor to ensuring regional roads and services get their fair share, Sam gets it – and hell fight for practical solutions.
Social media users were quick to spot a hilarious mistake in the comment section of the post as it appeared the political party had seemingly replied to themselves.
The Young Nationals Facebook account, the same one that had uploaded the post, commented: Thank you Young Nationals, Im new to the area and you have my vote.

Voters found the gaffe hilarious with several mimicking the comment.
Many suggested the social media team behind Young Nationals had forgotten to switch Facebook accounts before posting the comment.
One voter wrote: Forgetting to swap accounts again?
Commenting on your own post before switching to one of your fake accounts while complaining about the lack of integrity in politics is exactly the type own goal hypocrisy weve all come to expect from the Young Nationals, another said.
A third joked: Thank you my area. Im Young Nationals and my vote you have.
NSW Young Labor shared the gaffe on their Facebook page.
Fantastic. Great move. Well done Young Nationals, they wrote.
The response is a nod to a similar gaffe in 2019 in which the now shadow treasurer Angus Taylor praised himself on his Facebook account.
Mr Taylor wrote: Fantastic. Great move. Well done Angus, in response to a campaign announcement.
