An Aussie father of two is being remembered as a humble, generous man after he was killed in a horror cycling crash.

An Aussie father of two is being remembered as a humble, generous man after he was killed in a horror cycling crash.

Nathan Parker, 44, was riding his bicycle along the Pacific Highway in Tuggerah, on New South Wales Central Coast, in the early hours of Tuesday March 18 when he collided with a utility vehicle.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 6am where paramedics provided medical assistance before arranging an airlift to John Hunter Hospital.

The Central Coast father was in critical condition by the time he arrived at the hospital and had passed away by 3pm that afternoon.

The 68-year-old man who had been driving the utility vehicle was uninjured and underwent mandatory testing at a nearby hospital.

A GoFundMe page was started on behalf of the school at which Mr Parkers wife, Sarah, works as an assistant principal.

The fundraiser described Mr Parker as a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose death had left his family and community heartbroken.

Nathan was a man who selflessly gave of himself, whether through his volunteer work, his commitment to helping others, or his participation in causes close to his heart, it said.

He was a passionate, humble, and generous man who truly lived to make a difference.

Nathan’s wit, sense of humour, and infectious laughter brightened any room he entered.

His dedication as a father was unmatched, and he adored his two sons, Christian and Logan, with all his heart.

After 25 years of marriage, his wife was left heartbroken by the unexpected loss of her soulmate.

Their sons, too, are struggling with the loss of their father, whose presence in their lives was invaluable.

The GoFundMe was established to raise money to support the family in meeting the financial burdens left by the loss of the father.

It has so far raised $5,020 towards a $15,000 target.

Mr Parker was a keen cycling enthusiast who used his love of cycling to raise money for cancer research.

A Central Coast cycling group he belonged to posted a memorial to a much loved, respected and passionate member on Friday.

Nathan was not just a rider. He was a training partner, BBQ chef, fundraiser and very special person to all of us.

I know we all have many memories of him. Especially that smile of his!

Words cannot describe what a special person Nathan was.

Community group member Darren shared news of the horrific accident which he described as devastating.

Ms Parker commented on the post saying the loss will be hard to navigate while giving thanks for the support.

His mother, Veronica, also posted to the community group, thanking its members on behalf of her and her husband.

As Nathans mum and dad we thank you all for your kind words and love for our amazing son, she said.

On the day of her husbands death, Ms Parker was inundated with messages of support after posting a smiling photo of her and her late husband.

Police continue to investigate the crash and have asked anyone with information to contact Tuggerah Lakes Police or Crime Stopper at 1800 333 000.
