Haley Layman, 25, was arrested by Grundy County Sheriffs Office on Tuesday in connection to the deadly crash that killed Bobby Dan Green, 50.
Police said she was driving the vehicle that struck Green while he rode his bike at the intersection of Rock Avenue and Main Street in Palmer on Monday.
Just hours after the crash, Layman posted a tribute to Green, saying how much he would be missed, reported WTVC.
Rest in peace, Bobby Dan, youre going to be missed so much, Layman said on Tuesday, a few hours before the sheriffs office announced her arrest.
Layman also shared posts from Greens daughter, Clara, begging people to come forward with information about the crash.
Please, if anyone knows who hit my daddy from the back while he was riding his bike down the road going toward Palmer market (pretty sure it was intentional because they came back after they hit him looked at him and left)… please let me know or Tennessee highway patrol, Clara said.
They hit him, came back and checked to make sure he wasnt getting up, and left him in the road to die, and he did pass away five minutes after he was put in the ambulance. Please help me. I can’t imagine leaving someone on the road to die alone.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the Grundy County Sheriffs office announced Layman was arrested.
During a joint investigation involving the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Constable Collins, 12th Judicial Drug Task Force, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol, authorities arrested 25-year-old Haley Layman in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of Bobby Green, the sheriffs office said.
It is unclear how police landed on Layman as a suspect, but an arrest report obtained by the local news station showed she admitted to drinking and driving.
[Layman] gave a statement that she was drinking and that is why she left the scene, the report said.
The report also stated that Layman took her car to a shop in neighboring Marion County to get repaired.
[Layman] took the vehicle to a neighboring county in efforts to conceal or tamper with evidence of the crime.
Clara told the local news station that she does not hate Layman; she wishes she had made different decisions that night.
Ill pray for you. I dont hate you, I just wish you would have made a different decision. To not drink and drive, Clara said.

She hit him so hard that it hurt... tore up his right leg and ripped his pinky off his right hand.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help raise funds for Greens cremation costs. His funeral is set for April 9.
I know he wasn’t always the best person, but I loved him so much, and when he was good, he was really good, Clara said.
