Travel blogger Dannah McMichael, 39, said she was taking vitamins when she realized something was wrong and her diamond ring wasnt on her finger

McMichael, a travel blogger, said the mistake came when she was beyond jet-lagged after a long day of travelling to the city of Phuket.

She told Fox News that after swallowing the ring, she immediately started choking, but believes it was a magnesium pill that caused her to choke instead of the ring.

When I started choking on the pills and noticed my ring was missing, I knew something was wrong, she said.

She said she and her husband, who is best known for his time playing for the Miami Dolphins in the early 2000s, initially only joked about the possibility of her swallowing the ring when they first looked for it.

But after two days went by without any sign of the ring, McMichael said she decided to get an X-ray at a local clinic.

We couldnt believe it, she said of the moment she saw the ring on the screen. She shared a video of the moment, captioned: Got my ring back. Wait, I never lost it. It was always with me.

Thankfully, McMichael saw the funny side and said it was the funniest thing to ever happen to me.

She added that her husband was equally as pleased, as he admitted to her that he thought a hotel staffer may have swiped it.

McMichael told Fox News that medics assured her the ring was nothing to worry out, and said she passed it naturally a few days later.

I swallowed it Sunday and passed it Wednesday or Thursday, she said. No pain at all.
