A Denver woman who went on a Hinge date with a serial rapist has given terrifying details of what went down - as he waits to learn his fate in court.
Allie, 34, said her encounter with cardiologist Stephen Matthews in January last year was the scariest day of my life as she feared he might kill her.
(It was) the only time I thought I might die, honestly. I didnt know what was going to happen to me if I lost consciousness, she told CBS News Brian Maass.
Matthews was convicted in August of drugging 11 women and raping nine of them during a four-year reign of terror from 2019 to early 2023.
Ahead of his sentencing on Friday, Allie, one of the victims he was convicted of drugging, gave the grisly details of her date with Matthews back in January 2023.

Allie, who did not want her last name to be used, said she connected with Matthews via the Hinge dating app and was excited to go on a first date and get to know him.
She was attracted to the since-disgraced doctor by his profile showing he owned a dog and liked the outdoors, and the fact they both worked in the medical field.
The pair met at a bar for a drink, and he suggested walking to his townhouse to let his dog out.
Allie said that once there, she went to the bathroom. When she came out, Matthews had made a her drink without asking if she wanted one.
I didnt want to be rude and didnt want to offend him so I took the drink, she recalled to Maass.
Allie said she had only drank around a quarter of the glass when she started feeling ill and her speech became slurred.
I remember at one point falling all the way to the ground and looking up at him as he was about to film me, she said.
At this point, Matthews placed her in a headlock and pulled her head back to forcibly kiss her. She said the position was painful and she could not break free.
I felt like I had to get out, Allie said.

I knew that my ability to control my body was quickly disappearing and if I did not leave within minutes, I didnt think I would ever be able to leave.
She eventually broke free and ran from Matthews home, leaving her coat, purse and shoes behind. Allie clambered into an Uber and began vomiting uncontrollably.
Her story is hauntingly similar to several of the other victims, who also said they began vomiting after being given a drink by Matthews.
Allie said though that although she fazed in and out of consciousness at Matthews home, she does not believe he raped her.
She went to an urgent care center in Denver the next day hoping to get tested for date-rape drugs - but the center said they did not have the supplies.
I felt completely dismissed, she told Maass, like they werent taking this seriously.
In the aftermath, Allie felt completely alone and even blamed herself for the trauma, speculating that she had just drank too much.

But after reaching out to friends, she joined a Facebook group where women had shared similar experiences after meeting the same man.
This prompted her to report her experience to the Denver Police Department, ultimately leading to his conviction in court.
Allie said she has no doubt that there are more victims out there who are yet to be identified because he was a regular on the dating apps.
I believe the survivors who came forward is just the tip of the iceberg, she said.
It was a huge relief to have the jury say they believed me and the other women, she said, adding that she has struggled with anxiety, depression and nightmares.
I am going to ask the judge for the maximum sentence, Allie vowed.
Every single day theres at least a moment of my day that revolves around this person who hurt me.
Allie said she had found support through advocacy groups including the Blue Bench and Jane Doe No More.
Matthews is being held in the Denver jail on $5 million bond and will learn his fate at the sentencing on Friday.
