The ultra- secretive New York City restaurant, Frog Club, has made a shocking announcement that reverses a policy that theyd been well-known for.

The restaurant, up until this point, had kept a strict no photography rule inside to maintain exclusivity. Upon entry into the restaurant, diners would be required to cover their front and back cameras with a sticker.

Known as the New Yorkiest room in New York Frog Club has now announced, as of Friday night, that they would now allow photography.

Kermit says photos are now allowed at Frog Club, their most recent post said, accompanied by pictures of the Muppet puppet taking selfies.

Comments on the post shared mixed feelings about the new announcement, some were all for it, but others thought it took away from the exclusivity of the restaurant.

One wrote: I will only take photos if Kermit is there to be in them.

The kewl is gone now, said one and I liked the mystery, wrote another.

Another was just in shock and wrote: HOLY S***

The restaurant located in the West Village; Frog Club not only became well known for their exclusive no photography rule but also their menu offerings.

One in particular, Kiss the Chef, is charged at $1,000 and was purchased by a male diner on their opening night, according to Eater New York.

The 68-seat restaurant is decorated completely with frogs and offers a range of American food with a twist, such as a burger in an English muffin with sidewinder fries.

The restaurant is owned by high-profile chef, Liz Johnson, the mastermind behind the Los Angeles iconic restaurant Horses.

Johnson was involved in an extremely messy and public implosion of her marriage to fellow chef, Will Aghajanian.

The restaurant boasts many quirky food and drink options, such as the Dirty Kermit, the Tutti Frutti Spaghetti Sundae, and pierogis stuffed with lobster

Amid divorce filings and allegations of abuse, Johnson went on to open Frog Club earlier this year.

As well as the no photography rule, the restaurant also enforced other rules. Their Instagram account uploaded a list entitled Ways to get 86d, another way to say refused service.

The rules include not showing up for a reservation, taking photographs - including in the bathroom - and being rude, especially to the doorman Tony.

They also warn against any sort of vandalism, blatant and dangerous levels of drunkenness, lying about your birthday, or touching memorabilia.

The final rule, to coincide with their Kiss the Chef menu option, is to not kiss the chef without consent.
