The Vice Presidential hopeful was interviewed in a Philadelphia coffee shop for the  segment.

The relaxed affair saw the two play a game of paper football as they chatted about Walz and Kamala Harris plans for an opportunity economy.

It comes after a media blitz by the Democrats, which included appearances by Harris and Hillary Clintons former running mate Tim Kaine on Saturday Night Live.

The cameos were criticized for violating the equal time rule, which states parties must receive the same amount of air time after no Republicans were invited on the popular NBC show.

The Minnesota Governor sat down with Colbert for a friendly eleven minute interview where he discussed the highs and lows of the being on the campaign trail.

Colbert brought up Walzs military service, how he met his wife of 30 years and complimented his use of, midwestern dad insults.

Walz has referred to his opponents as a knucklehead, a dips**t and a clown.

The part of a Minnesotan is not to insult or bully people, Walz said. In each of those cases I was making an observation about the person.

In a bid to demonstrate his dad credentials, the two then watched a YouTube video of the restoration of an World War Two lighter.

The lighthearted interview eventually saw Colbert ask Walz to explain his plans for an opportunity economy using car metaphors.

So your care is running a littler rough. Its still running but theres things you could do, Walz said. If its an older vehicle, you could get a carburetor clean.

You could invest the money into a really important piece say the carburetor being the middle class.

You put a little investment into that carburetor, the entire vehicle runs better.

Colbert  concluded by inviting Walz to deliver a final rallying battle cry for Harris using only football metaphors.

However, the chummy interview has only fueled accusations of a media bias in favor of the Democrats.

CBS is set to intentionally violate the FCC “Equal Time Rule” tonight with a guest shot of Tim Walz on the Stephen Colbert show, one person wrote on X.

They and all network affiliates that air the show should lose their broadcast licenses. It is intentionally too late to give equal time to other candidates.

Full steam propaganda, another added.

The comments echoed those made after Harris appeared in a 90 second SNL skit with Maya Rudolph over the weekend.

But she was not the only Democrat to appear, with Virginia Senator Kaine also starring in a sketch alongside John Mulaney and Pete Davidson.

NBC was accused of favoritism and went on to give Donald Trump two minutes of free airtime during prime time Sunday night sporting events after the Peacock Network was accused of giving special treatment to his opponent.
