A woman allegedly murdered by her son at the popular beachside holiday park home where she lived has been described as a quiet woman who kept to herself.

Zachary Mills, 30, faced court on Tuesday over the alleged attack that left his mum Christine Mills, 58, at her Coffs Harbour holiday park home on the NSW mid north coast last Wednesday.

She was rushed to hospital with serious facial injuries, where she spent five days fighting for life.

A days-long by police resulted in Mills arrest in Queensland on Sunday on outstanding warrants before he appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court the next day, where NSW Police successfully applied for an extradition order.

Mills has since been extradited to NSW and on Tuesday, was charged with murder DV after his mother succumbed to her injuries a day earlier.

Ms Mills kept to herself, according to shocked neighbours in the prestige residents section of the Big 4 holiday park where she lived.

She lived in a neat well-maintained weatherboard house in the popular oceanside park, that still had black fingerprint dust on the verandah rails and door on Tuesday.

Nearby residents told Daily Mail Australia they had heard nothing from the house on the night of the alleged attack.

The court heard on Tuesday that Ms Mills had allegedly told police she was scared of him before she was left with extensive injuries.

Its understood Ms Mills have significant mobility issues due to a spinal injury and previously told police she was scared of her son, The Age reported.

She also told police she was worried her son was stealing money from her.

Mills appeared at Tweed Heads Local Court on Tuesday, where documents revealed he allegedly severely injured Ms Mills last Wednesday.

Police were called to the Big 4 Park Beach Holiday Park on Ocean Parade, Coffs Harbour, about 5.25pm and discovered Ms Mills with facial injuries.

Police were told a man, alleged to be Mills, had left the property before officers arrived.

The last AVO she sought against her son was issued in June and barred him from seeing his mother for 12 hours after he had been drinking alcohol or doing drugs.

Mills was also banned from stalking, harassing, intimidating, assaulting or threatening Ms Mills, or damaging her property.
