This is the sickening moment a charity fundraiser was heard telling a woman he wished she got breast cancer after she declined to sign up for monthly donations.
The woman was left stunned after a male Breast Cancer Now worker was caught saying: I hope you get it - in reference to the illness - on her Ring doorbell in the moments after she closed her front door.
She chased the man down the street and confronted him but she said he showed no remorse and denied saying it.
The woman, whose grandmother died from breast cancer, said: I thought it was my son coming home from school so opened it in a rush with the oven beeping at me.
Saw it wasnt him and politely said Im not interested thank you and closed the door.
I thought I heard him say something when he left, so checked my Ring camera. He did say something - I hope you get it.
The woman, who wishes to be anonymous, said the man came to her house in Leyland, Lancashire, asking for donations on November 6.
But when she politely said she was not interested and closed the door, her Ring Doorbell captured the moment the man said he hopes she gets the disease.
A charity fundraiser was heard telling a woman in Leyland, Lancashire, he wished she got breast cancer after she declined to sign up for monthly donations
The footage shows a short exchange between the pair in which the woman told the charity fundraiser she was not interested
She said: He had the nerve to deny it and showed no remorse and said I was the one who was rude for closing the door in his face.
Firstly, I didnt. I quickly said no thank you and I have to pull the door with force so it clicks shut.
Secondly, how can anyone who works for a breast cancer charity wish breast cancer on you because they deemed you rude?
The woman said she does not want Breast Cancer Now, to be tarnished by the mans conduct.
She posted the incident on Facebook to make the charity aware of his behaviour and prevent him from causing any further upset to those affected by cancer.
A Breast Cancer Now spokesperson said the fundraiser had been employed by Appco UK to raise funds on behalf of the charity.
They said: The safety and wellbeing of everyone engaged with by our fundraisers is our top priority, and we take any complaints made extremely seriously.
The details of this incident fall well below the high standards we expect from our third-party fundraisers, and we would like to offer our sincere apologies to the woman for any distress and upset caused.
As the man turns to leave the property, he says behind the womans back: I hope you get it
The woman has since posted the incident on Facebook to make Breast Cancer Now aware of his behaviour
