Nancy Mace gave a brutal verbal takedown to a transgender activist who confronted the congresswoman over her campaign to ban transgender women from using womens bathrooms on Capitol Hill.

Mace, a South Carolina Republican, caused a commotion in DC this week after demanding that Delaware Democrat Sarah McBride not be allowed into womens facilities around Congress

McBride, the first transgender person elected to Congress, has agreed to abide by the rules after Speaker of the House Mike Johnson endorsed Maces proposal.

Mace was attending the Summit on the Future of the Internet hosted by Project Liberty Thursday at Georgetown University. The congresswoman began to talk about the backlash shed gotten from introducing the resolution that prevents people like McBride from using single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex.

Thats when Evan Greer, a Boston-based left-wing activist, musician, writer and transgender woman, chose to confront her.

She asked Mace: Weve had dozens of trans people die this year because of the hate and lies youre spreading. Is this the future of the Internet we want?

To scattered applause, Greer continued to speak at Mace, asking: Are were building an internet with free speech for everyone or just the privileged few? Are you gonna stand up for the lives of trans people? Black and brown people? Are we fighting for justice or are we fighting for big tech?

Mace shrugged it off after Greer was removed and joked: God loves him, I love him but his penis isnt gonna be in my bathroom.

Even at the non-partisan Project Liberty conference, the joke got some boos from the crowd gathered.

Mace explained what happened in a post on X later: Raging lunatic, pretending to be female, tried to rush the stage at me just a little bit ago. All because I dont want men watching women undress in the locker room.

Greer responded on social media shortly after: I stood up and spoke the truth. I did not rush the stage as everyone can see in the video you posted. You have done absolutely nothing in your career to address the harm and censorship of Big Tech. Youre too busy obsessing over other peoples genitalia. Get a hobby

She has been praised for her music and activism by left-wing radicals like Howard Zinn and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and runs the far left activist group Fight For the Future.

I could not sit silent while an elected official who spreads hate & lies that are getting trans people killed pretends to care about the future of the Internet. So I spoke up during Rep Nancy Maces speech at the Project Liberty Summit & I would do it again, she added.

She later posted a video to Instagram criticizing Project Liberty for going against its stated mission by bringing Mace to speak.

Earlier Wednesday, Mace, who is crusading to ban transgender Rep.-elect Sarah McBride from using womens restrooms, indicated she is open to meeting with the Delaware Democrat.

The Democratic representative-elect is the first openly trans politician elected to Congress, and is the highest-ranking elected trans politico in the nations history.

Mace has said that her PTSD from past sexual assault led her to push to ban McBride from entering womens restrooms and changing rooms.

And Speaker Mike Johnson agreed, ruling that lawmakers must only use restrooms of their biological sex.

Mace has posted videos calling McBride a male, repeatedly speaking about their private parts and slamming transgenderism.

Despite all that, Mace said she would be interested in having a meeting with the incoming Democratic lawmaker.

I have always been willing to work with anyone who will work with me, she told DailyMail.com when pressed on her openness to a sit-down with McBride.

Though the conciliatory offering was short lived and Mace then began ruthlessly tearing into the Democrat.

I voted for the Respect for Marriage Act, not once, but twice, I have sponsored and supported civil liberties protections for LGBTQ, but thats not what this is about.

This is about somebodys pecker being in the bathroom or being in the dressing room with women, and were already vulnerable as it is, Mace added.

Earlier this week Mace introduced a bill that would force House members and staffers to use the bathrooms corresponding with their biological sex

The measure would specifically mean that McBride, who was born male, would have to use the mens facilities.

The Capitols top security agent, the Sergeant at Arms, would be tasked with enforcing the policy.

Speaker Mike Johnson later in the week expressed his support for the measure.

All single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings — such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms — are reserved for individuals of that biological sex, Johnson said in a statement Wednesday.

It is important to note that each Member office has its own private restroom, and unisex restrooms are available throughout the Capitol, he continued. Women deserve womens only spaces.

Also on Wednesday Mace doubled down on her original proposal, which would only extend to the Capitol Hill complex, by introducing further legislation to extend the biological sex bathroom rule to all federal properties.

The South Carolinian also said she has drafter further trans-related legislation that she will debut in December after recess.

Democrats, meanwhile, have been outraged by the GOP measures and rhetoric.

What Nancy Mace and what Speaker Johnson are doing are endangering all women and girls, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., told reporters late Wednesday.

Because if you ask them what is your plan on how to enforce this? They wont come up with an answer.

What it inevitably results in are women and girls who are primed for assault because people are going to want to check their private parts, and suspecting who is trans and who is cis and whos doing what, AOC argued.
