This is the moment a grandmother was tackled to the ground by her over-enthusiastic puppy.

In the footage, taken on a Ring doorbell, Debra Martin can be seen taking the rubbish out when her Golden Retriever Teddy hurls himself at the 54-year-old and tackles her to the ground.

The grandmother from Kelty in Scotland had paused a game of catch involving her one-year-old pooch and her 8-year-old grandaughter Zoey.

Chaos ensued after Teddy, who weighs between 60 and 70 pounds - launched himself at his owner.

Ms Martin fell flat on her face and lost a slipper in the process. The commotion even scared Milo the pet cat - who can be seen jumping onto the sheds roof to escape the commotion.

Ms Martin was unharmed and in hysterics when she watched the footage back.

She said: Because I went down so hard, everybody thought I must have hurt myself, but other than hurting my pride, I was absolutely fine.

Id actually forgotten about the incident, but suddenly remembered at a house party a few days later.

I asked my son-in-law how far back I can go to find the footage and he said I should be able to retrieve all my videos.

I went back through the footage by a few days and found it. Of course, everybody was in hysterics.

Teddys only interest was finding the ball, not for me. Nothing. Zero. He likes his treats, but hes just obsessed with tennis balls.

Theres nothing in the world he loves more than that ball.

Teddy may only be a puppy, but the average weight of a one-year-old Golden Retriever is 60 to 70 pounds - more than enough to make an impact while travelling at high speed.

Debra added: Hes a big dog so he just forgets his own size sometimes.

But, I love everything about him, even when hes knocking me off my feet.
