The family of a missing Hawaii woman who vanished in Los Angeles earlier this month is sounding the alarm after seeing her in new surveillance video prior to her disappearance.
Hannah Kobayashi, 30, vanished during a layover on a flight from Maui to New York November 8. She missed her connecting flight in Los Angeles, cops said, before later being spotted 20 miles from the airport.
She was seen in multiple locations over the next several days, with her family recently shown a clip of her in Downtown LA on November 11.
The footage shows her with an unidentified individual, said her aunt Larie Pidgeon, who spoke with several publications on Wednesday, noting that the video shows the two getting off a subway at a station near the Crypto.com Arena.
That was around 10pm, and she has not been heard from since.
The new footage has made us extremely worried, Pidgeon told The New York Post. Pidgeon cryptically told KHON Honolulu: Shes not alone.
The family hopes the clip leads to cops doing more to find Kobayashi, after they already flagged unusual speech patterns in her final text messages to them. Her sister, Sydni Kobayashi, said police are not taking [the case]... seriously.
Pidgeon told People on Wednesday that the family is doing its own investigation, despite being terrified by the the new clip.
Were really afraid, she said.

Who is Hannah Kobayashi and where was she going?
Kobayashi is a resident of Haiku in Maui, and a photographer and artist.
She had been on her way to New York to photograph a DJ when she vanished.
Now serving as the familys spokesperson, Pidgeon told People how her niece had made a meticulous, hour-by-hour schedule for the trip, which she described as a dream job.
She was so excited, her aunt told the magazine.
Kobayashi made her November 8 flight from Maui to LAX, with a planned a 35-minute layover.
Due to the tight timeframe, she missed her connecting flight to New Yorks JFK airport, police said. Pidgeon said that Kobayashi called from LAX to explain that she missed the flight.
Trying to rebook, she told Pidgeons sister, New York resident Geordan Montalvo, that shed meet [her] in the Big Apple.
She never made it, and afterwards sent family members a series of strange text messages they believe were not written by her.

What are the details surrounding her disappearance?
In a statement sent out on Sunday, the family - 13 of whom have traveled to LA to look for Kobayashi - offered new details about the case.
They had acquired a clip showing the missing woman in the vicinity of the Pico Metro Station in Downtown LA.
In the footage, it is evident that Hannah does not appear to be in good condition, and she is not alone, a statement read.
It went on to urge the many members of the public assisting in the search to focus on the Pico station area. The family plans to hold a rally there before the Los Angeles Lakers game Thursday to garner more support as cops continue their search.
They also instructed onlookers to remain vigilant when using the metro in LA.
Two days before she was spotted at the station, Kobayashi went to a bookstore at a local mall around noon, where she charged her phone and signed up for the stores book club.
That same evening, she returned to LAX, relatives said, describing how she again called Montalvo to tell her she was still trying to get to New York.
She was like, "This is a nightmare. I dont understand whats going on with these airlines, Im trying to get to you," Pidgeon said.
Police confirmed that Kobayashi was spotted at LAX and a local Lebron James event the following day, Pidgeon said.
In a YouTube video, Hannah was seen in the background at an event in The Grove bookstore for Lakers player Lebron James
Her final post was shared on November 11. It is understood she was attending an event in Los Angeles at the time
What did Hannah Kobayashis final text messages say?
A missing-persons report was filed on November 10, amid what the family described as uncharacteristic correspondence from Kobayashi.
One of the messages reportedly said: Deep Hackers wiped my identity, stole all of my funds, & have had me on a mind f**k since Friday.
Another claimed: I got tricked pretty much into giving away all my funds. A follow-up added: For someone I thought I loved.
The messages were sent on November 10 and early on November 11.
In a missing-persons poster sent out immediately after, police wrote: Prior to going missing, [Kobayashi] sent a message on November 10, mentioning feeling scared, and that someone might be trying to steal her money and identity.
She hasnt been hard from since.
Her sister, Sydni, has since revealed Kobayashi sent Venmo payments to two people who neither she nor the rest of the family recognized. Kobayashis mother, Brandi Yee, also reported sending her a text message asking if she made it to New York.
She responded simply: Not yet. Another early-morning text mentioned how she was in the midst of a spiritual awakening.
A series of texts have led the family to believe Kobayashi was not alone when she disappeared. They say diction in the texts indicates they were written by someone else
A friend also received texts from Kobayashis phone indicating her identity may have been stolen and was in distress, cops said
The family noted that the her phone has been off since November 11 and her last pinned location was at the Los Angeles Airport
What does the new surveillance video show?
The new footage has sparked a new sense of urgency for Kobayashis relatives.
Aside from it showing Kobayashi with an unidentified person near the Pico Metro station the day after she went quiet, it has caused major alarm and kind of solidified the familys suspicion that something has been awry, Pidgeon told the New York Post.
It has made us extremely worried, she added, saying she could not provide more information due to the ongoing investigation.
Hannahs sister Sydni gave statements to CNN this week saying that she believes the texts sent from her sisters phone hours before Kobayashi was spotted near the arena on November 11 were not from her.
She doesnt use the word hun, she said, citing syntax seen in one of the messages.
Love and babe, but never hun. Even her close friends have said the same.
The family hopes the new footage leads to some progress in the case.
The family is kind of doing their own investigation on the ground, Pidgeon told the Post, adding that it was done to put a little bit more pressure on (LAPD) to do as much as the familys doing.

Was Hannah Kobayashi abducted?
As of Thursday, the LAPD has yet to declare that Kobayashi has been abducted.
The investigation is still being treated as a missing-persons case, a spokesperson confirmed. But in an interview with CNN on Tuesday, Pidgeon described that the familys mindset has shifted
Our mind is now going to, you know, abduction and, I hate to say the word, but, you know, trafficked, she said.
Were doing the best that we can, but the family at this point is having to come to the reality that those things could be a possibility.
The LAPD, meanwhile, is still spearheading the probe, but is now being aided by the FBI, field office agents in the city told KHON Honolulu Wednesday.
Statements given to the station by Pidgeon appeared to indicate Kobayashi is still with the person in the footage, whom has yet to be physically described.
Shes not alone, shes with an unidentified person, said Pidgeon. And she also got off and at a, at a station that is, she continued, before trailing off.
Its not good and it terrified us, it brought her father to tears, she concluded.

Pidgeon and others in LA will hold a rally to pass out fliers before the Lakers game Thursday afternoon, just a block from the station where Hannah was last seen
Pidgeon and others in LA will hold a rally to pass out fliers before the Lakers game Thursday afternoon, just a block from the station where Hannah was last seen.
Its all we can do, Pidgeon said of the planned event.
We want to get as many people in one location that she was last seen and that Lakers game is huge for us.
Were even trying to get it on the Jumbotron. You know, were trying. Were trying. Were trying.
DailyMail.com has reached out to both Pidgeon and Syndi for more information.
