Several users on X have been slamming male shoppers for their work ethic and have occasionally accused them of making errors on orders.

This bashing came not long after Reddit users sparked a conversation about the matter in a post.

One Reddit user wrote: Low tip low effort. High tip high effort.

Instacart currently has over 600,000 shoppers, and it continues to be popular despite its massive grocery price hike.

One of X users biggest complaints about male Instacart shoppers was the products they selected as replacement items.

My friend needed chicken stock and dude replaced it with chicken feet. CHICKEN FEET, one X user posted.

Another X user recalled a time when a male Instacart shopper wanted to replace Cheez-Its with a big block of cheese.

Yet another wrote: You mean to tell me you cant find a replacement for chocolate chip cookie dough at the store. I HATE MALE INSTACART SHOPPERS HATE HATE HATE.

Reddit users have also expressed their qualms with male Instacart shoppers, which has been a growing conversation on the platform for the last few years.

Several Reddit users over the past two months have called male Instacart shoppers idiots and unsuccessful.

My personal experience with male shoppers has been dire. I have absolute faith that men can be competent, successful shoppers. I just havent been assigned one of those yet, a Reddit user wrote in July.

Some Redditors slammed female shoppers for being just as bad.

Ive personally had more bad female shoppers than male shoppers to be true lol and its not even close. Male shoppers have less attitude, are faster, FRIENDLIER BY FAR, and usually care more about your order, one commenter wrote.

Male Instacart shoppers have been speaking up about work ethic accusations and that gender does not play a significant role in it.

I think that since the vast majority of shoppers are male, and the majority of those are new Canadians and American, it causes issues, especially when you message them and they dont understand what youre asking them or telling them, Instacart shopper Mike Romagnoli told HuffPost.

The customer has to be attentive and on the ball, too. If not, youre going to have a bad time.

Based on five years of experience, the Toronto-based shopper has one piece of advice for male shoppers:  always send out an opening greeting when youre about to start shopping.

If not, they could risk losing a tip.

Customers do have that option, and there’s nothing we can do about it, even if we do a great job, Romagnoli said about gratuity.

Unfortunately, we rely on tips and were underpaid to begin with.

Multiple X users admitted they dont tip their Instacart shoppers, and a handful revealed they would give a man more money if he got an order right.

I had a male Instacart shopper. He got everything. I was shook, one user wrote. I even increased his tip.
