Speaking at the partys autumn conference in Brighton, Ms Harrison told a fringe event: I actually have in my medical history, a diagnosis of PTSD over Brexit.
She later told The Independent: It is just on my record, at some point, they just put it on my record.
It has had so many effects on my physical body, and things that have come out since. I have lost my voice many times and they put that down to trauma.
Ms Harrison, who previously worked for the European Commission in Brussels and is now a mental health therapist, said Brexit had a profound impact on her.
I have not been in Sudan fighting in a war, but it has had a profound impact on me, she told the website.
I am European to my core, and my identity has been ripped out. I am European before I am English.
She described how her daughter has a masters degree in international law and should be in Brussels like I was at her age, and instead she is stuck here.
Ms Harrison also revealed how she could no longer retire to Spain, where her mother spent eight years and is buried, as she had once planned.
We have a property in Marbella, I planned to retire there, I cant, she added.
We still have the property, but we cannot get health coverage because of pre-existing conditions.
Ms Harrison unsuccessfully stood against Tory former Cabinet minister Penny Mordaunt in the Portsmouth North constituency at the 2019 general election.
She was elected to Havant Borough Council for the Purbrook ward at Mays local elections.
