King Charles has a spring in his step and is looking forward to the second chapter of his reign after a tumultuous start blighted by monarchs cancer diagnosis with Kate and deepening rift with son Harry and Prince Andrew

The start of Charless reign has been blighted by deepening rifts with his son Prince Harry and his brother Prince Andrew as well as Kate Middleton and the Kings surprise cancer diagnoses. 

However, as his reign enters its third year, the King is said to be eager to return to work with a renewed vigour.

A source told the Daily Mirror: There has been a lot going on, but the King has always been upbeat. Not once has he allowed himself to question the future – hes dealt with everything head on. 

Now he is back in business. There is a spring in his step and a renewed vigour with it too. Everything is looking positive, which is welcome.

A source added: The King very much feels this is the second chapter of his reign and he is very positive about the future.

The Kings so-called first chapter of his refine has been defined by growing rifts within the between Charles and his son, Harry, and brother Andrew.

Charles has long been trying to get the Duke of York out of the 30-room, £30 million property in Windsor, which he lives in with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.

Andrew, 64, has insisted on staying in the mansion despite stepping down from official duties nearly five years ago.

The other major event of his reign so far was the Kings surprise cancer diagnosis in February.

It was also recently announced that the Princess of Wales - who was also diagnosed with cancer this year - could be returning to public life very soon . It is understood Kate could make an appearance at the Remembrance Day service this November

Through his treatment, the Monarch is to have taken great comfort and strength from his familys love and support throughout.   

The King and Queen are currently making their final preparations for their first international tour as Charles and Camilla prepare to head to Australia and the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in Samoa next month.
