Cricket player Kevin Pietersen has withdrawn his application to join the exclusive £92,000 a year Sunningdale Golf Club.
The former England cricketer lives close to the Berkshire course with his wife Jess Taylor.
Friends of the accomplished golfer, 44, recently asked if he could join Sunningdale.
But his application was dismissed before Pietersen could be formally proposed, because four existing members said they would reject him.
Sunningdale Golf Club has full membership fees of £92,000 per year with an annual subscription fee of £9,500.

It is claimed members do not often speak publicly about the club and mobile phones are banned on the course.
Under Sunningdales application process, if just one member votes no to a new golfer joining, they are automatically discounted.
Pietersens former teammate and once rival Sir Andrew Strauss, is a member of Sunningdale.
A source told The Telegraph: All it takes is one difficult member to stop the process, so before a vote new members are verbally discussed by existing members. The formal process wasnt even started because it was made clear there would be objections.
Kevin was effectively blackballed – Ive no idea why. Hes a good golfer and wouldnt have caused any problems. I think hes a member of Wentworth, so he will have to make do with playing there for now.

Harry Styles is certainly sparing no expense when it comes to indulging in his hobbies - hes reportedly joined the £92,000-a-year golf club (Harry pictured in May last year)
However, Pietersen is understood to be considering making another application.
Another source told the newspaper he wasnt blocked, but withdrew his form.
Sunningdales membership list is a closely guarded secret – but Prince Andrew, basketball player Michael Jordan and actor Samuel L Jackson have all played at the club.
Pop star Harry Styles, Hugh Grant, former tennis player Tim Henman and Gary Lineker are all rumoured to be members, or have been members.
Last year, a former Premier League star revealed he is currently banned from playing at the golf course after annoying club chiefs with his drunken behaviour.
The ex-midfielder made 90 Premier League appearances for three different clubs between 2005 and 2010.
The 45-year-old also has plenty of hobbies away from the pitch, including golf, and previously signed up to the swanky Sunningdale Golf Club in Berkshire, where it costs £92,000 to become a full member, with an annual fee of £9,500 taking it just past the £100,000 mark overall.
But former Wigan, Fulham and Hull City star Jimmy Bullard has confessed that his membership was taken away recently after he took things a bit too far following a few drinks.
Im not allowed to go again, he told snooker legend Stephen Hendry.
