A heartbroken bride-to-be didnt put two and two together after she saw flames and thick black smoke coming from the direction of her wedding venue.
The 99-year-old heritage listed event venue The Lussh was destroyed after a massive fire spread from an abandoned warehouse in Brisbane on Wednesday.
Nurse Madison Sullivan, 33, and several of her colleagues had been keeping a close eye on the flames coming from Woolloongabba, in the citys inner-south.
It made sense, but I just didnt think it would be that, she told Daily Mail Australia.
She and her partner of over five years, Nathan Crawford, 37, had been ready to welcome 105 guests for their wedding at the venue on October 26.
Ms Sullivan told Daily Mail Australia that after planning her perfect wedding for over a year she is now worried they wont be able to afford a new vendor.
(Im) just very overwhelmed and hoping for the best. Its so fresh and in the early stages following the fire, she said.
Im hoping and praying that we will have a vendor and financially we can pull it off.

Mr Crawford said they knew of at least ten couples who had been planning to host their nuptials at The Lussh before it was destroyed this week.
Trying to find a replacement venue on a major time crunch is proving difficult despite help from friends
People book these things a year in advanced like us and to try and fit everyone into a new venue… its like trying to squeeze blood out of a stone, Mr Crawford explained.
Theres quite a lot of guests that will only be able to make the 26th of October, theres a lot flying from internationally and interstate.
They have hotel bookings and flights already arranged, changes to the dates around that time would come at a premium with a number of high-profile concerts in town.
I got off work and saw a few notifications on my phone, one popped up in real time from my best mans mate just saying please give me a call, we did a FaceTime. He saw my face and said, "has anyone spoken to you yet".
He just told me: "Theres no way to put this to you, my mates just driven by The Lussh… its on fire, its going to burn to the ground".
The fire started started in a warehouse before spreading to nearby buildings on Wednesday

He quickly called his fiancée to break the bad news but couldnt get through to her as she works on a busy hospital ward.
I just told her that our wedding venues burned down. She just kept saying "no, no", she was devastated, Mr Crawford said.
The couple yet to hear from The Lussh but understand the team is working with clients who were scheduled to be married this weekend.
Well, this sucks, The Lussh team wrote on social media.
We are devastated by the events of this afternoon and extremely thankful that our team is safe. Our hearts go out to our Woolloongabba community and all those affected by the fire that broke out from a neighbouring building earlier today.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritise reaching out to events booked in the coming days and weeks.

The fire in the abandoned warehouse was reportedly accelerated by a number of mattresses inside with one man suffering significant smoke inhalation.
The flames caused roofs to collapse in affected buildings with police declaring an exclusion zone over fears there were chemicals stored inside the warehouse.
The Lussh - which is listed as temporarily closed online - is described as a bespoke renovated warehouse wedding nestled into the cliffs of Woolloongabba.
