Georgia school shooter Colt Gray managed to smuggle an AR-15 style rifle onto a school bus the morning of the tragic incident by hiding it inside a poster board.

Colt, a 14-year-old student at Apalachee High School, was charged as an adult for murdering two students and two teachers following the horrific shooting that also left nine injured on September 4.

During court on Wednesday, a George Bureau of Investigation (GBI) agent described what surveillance video captured, revealing that the teen hid the long gun behind the board, resembling a school project, before opening fire that dreadful day.

During a probable cause hearing in the case against the shooters father, Colin Gray, 54, who was also arrested amid claims he gave his son the semi-automatic gun used in the massacre, the agent said Gray left a notebook on his desk before heading to the bathroom with his backpack.

He later exited the restroom with gloves on and the poster board in front of him, appearing to hide the murder weapon, the agent said.

He then approached the door of his math class to get back in, but a student who went to let him in realized what was happening, backed up and told the teacher, the agent detailed.

The teacher then went to the door window, told her students to hunker down in the corner of the classroom, and initiated a lockdown, according to the agent.

Colt went on to enter another classroom and started shooting his gun, hitting six to seven people in the span of about seven seconds, the agent said.

The shooter, who is facing four counts of murder, then went back to the bathroom around 10.22 a.m., and allegedly fired multiple shots at a teacher, per the agent.

He then turned around and shot two coaches, before firing at a student who was exiting the bathroom, killing them, the agent said.

Following that, two school resource officers then approached Colt and ordered him to put the gun down, the agent revealed.

According to the GBI agent, the notebook that the school shooter left behind had a detailed plan inside of how he was going to carry out the horrific crime, along with an estimate of how many people would die and drawings of his classroom.

Mason Schermerhorn, 14, an autistic student, was the first victim to be identified. Student Christian Angulo, 14, also lost his life.

Teachers Richard Aspinwall and Christina Irimie were also killed in the tragedy.

Colt faces four counts of murder while his father, Colin was arrested and faces four counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of second-degree murder.

Colin, who was labeled evil by his former father-in-law Charles Polhamus, also faces eight counts of cruelty to children.

Both father and son are facing life in prison.

Polhamus, Colts grandfather and father of the shooters mother, Marcee Gray, 43, previously told The Post that the teen had delivered an apology to her via text message prior to the shooting, prompting her to call the school.

I’m sorry, mom, the text read.

Marcee then hopped in her car and started driving toward the school, more than three hours away. But about half way there she learned that the tragedy she was racing to prevent had already taken place.

A counselor at the school told Marcee that her son had been talking about school shootings that morning, according to Grays sister, Annie Brown, who spoke to the outlet.

Soon after the shooting began, reports surfaced that the high school received a warning that the tragedy could unfold.

In reported texts sent by Marcee, she told her family: I was the one that notified the school counselor at the high school.

The texts offer a clearer picture of how Colts family understood his mental turmoil and how close school officials came to finding him before he allegedly opened fire.

In one exchange after the shooting, Marcee texted her sister, Annie Brown, that she was questioning why officials had not found her son in time, as she felt there was a long time for them to intervene so I’m curious to know what happened in that time.

Further text exchanges reported from Marcees sister showed that Colts school and family were also in contact regarding his deteriorating mental health at least a week before the shooting.

In one text, Brown reportedly told a relative that Colt was having homicidal and suicidal thoughts.

He shouldn’t have a gun, and he should’ve been in THERAPY months ago, she added in the text.

Brown said that her nephew had spent months begging for mental health help, but the adults around him failed him.

The alleged gunmans parents split in 2022 after they were evicted, and the family had been involved in Georgias child welfare agency during their turmoil.

Polhamus previously told DailyMail.com that Colin is the reason why his grandson was driven to commit  the horrific act.

He confirmed that Colin and his daughter had a tumultuous relationship, branding her estranged husband as a narcissist and evil.

Colts grandfather said that the suspected shooters father ruined the teenager, who needed a more supportive environment.

Hes a full-fledged narcissist and he is finally getting what he deserves, Polhamus told DailyMail.com.

Polhamus blamed Colts father for his actions, but said that his grandson would have to be punished for the shooting.

He also believes that his troubled ex-son-in-law deserves the death penalty for his involvement.

In late September, just after writing a groveling apology letter to the victims families saying her son is not a monster, Marcee was arrested for exploiting an elderly person.

She allegedly bound her then-73-year-old mother, Deborah Polhamus, to a chair last November.

The incident report said Gray bound her mother before leaving her there for nearly a day after she said she was going to kill her ex-husband, according to The Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

She was indicted on single counts of exploitation and intimidation of a disabled adult or elderly person, false imprisonment, criminal damage to property in the second degree and theft.

If she is convicted as charged, she faces up to 20 years behind bars on the most serious charge of felony elder exploitation.
