An Idaho bar that threw heterosexual awesomeness events during Pride Month vows to bring back the festivities, despite backlash and death threats.

Mark Fitzpatrick, owner of the Old State Saloon in Eagle, is planning on bringing back the controversial festival, which included giving straight men a free beer, discounts for straight women and couples, and having t-shirts available to purchase that read Beers for Breeders.

When I think of heterosexuality, I think of awesome, he told DailyMail.com on Tuesday. We kind of always stood for conservative, traditional, Christian [values] like that.

During the event over the summer, Fitzpatrick says he and his business received death threats and someone threatened to burn the building down. He also said someone urinated on his delivery van and he had his 18,000-follower Facebook page taken down, forcing him to start a new one and create an X account, which currently has 53,000 followers.

He also has a TikTok page, where he boasts that the Saloon is the The Worlds Heterosexual Headquarters.

They falsely reported me as a terrorist, he told DailyMail.com of his Facebook page. I get plenty of hate.

Despite the negativity, he saw his sales jump three to 10 times higher than normal per day throughout June, and his sales are still up. He also saw people at both his June event and September event - which was thrown the same weekend as Boise Pride - attend from out-of-state to support his efforts.

Fitzpatrick also said he didnt throw the events to compete with the LBGT+ festivities, but to celebrate all sexualities, including those who are straight.

As we approached June, we realized all the sexualities would be celebrated, but not the one God designed, he told DailyMail.com, but he reiterated that he doesnt have a problem with the LBGT+ community.

I dont have a problem with them. I love them, I love people, he said. People can do what they want.

He even invites them into his restaurants and says he does see some stop in.

However, Fitzpatrick, who is Christian, said he and other religious people dont have to celebrate those who are outside of Gods design and heterosexual people deserve to be celebrated in June too.

Its an extreme amount of celebration [for the LBGT+ community], he says as they have Pride Month in June and LGBT History Month in October. It kind of seems extreme.

Fitzpatrick even attended Boise Pride, not to celebrate the LGBT+ community but to talk to those who had differing opinions from his. He spent time discussing both sides and said people understood where he was coming from.

He also says he disagrees with those who argue that heterosexuals are celebrated every other day of the year.

Its literally not, he told DailyMail.com.

Although he doesnt plan on having any more heterosexual festivities until June, he is hoping to make the second festival much, much bigger and wants to have more businesses join in, gain sponsors, and rent a space big enough to hold all the attendees, as he had lines out the door in June.

He also had a good uptick in sales for his Eagle Hetero Awesome Fest earlier this month, which offered real ladies with XX chromosomes 50 percent off any drink on Friday and biological men received the same offer as part of the straight stud club on Saturday.

He also hosted a straight singles soiree, heterosexual karaoke, a beers for breeders event that offered a free beer to anyone that identifies as Super Straight, and had a live version of the Bryce Eddy show where former Congressman Madison Crawford appeared on that same weekend.

Even if Fitzpatrick is rolling off the haters, it doesnt stop them from spamming his page to give him a piece of their mind.

The fact that you are actively using discrimination to advertise and market this event is just beyond disgusting. This kind of messaging does nothing but promote and foster hate in our community and you should be ashamed of yourselves, Faith Miller Liska wrote on Facebook.

This event is giving off all sorts of snowflake vibes, another wrote about the September festivities.

Pathetic little creatures needing their precious hetero safe space, a third wrote.

The bar also hosts a Sunday Bible study group each week for those who dont feel comfortable in church and conspiracy theory trivia.
