The cover of their first controversial album, Matando Güeros, depicted a severed and burned head - which was banned in many countries - eventually became Brujerías official mascot.

Aside from their mascot woes, the Witchcraft band had a more recent controversial event during the 2016 election when former U.S. President Donald Trump allegedly targeted the band.

After their release of their song, Viva Presidente Trump, criticizing the former-presidents stance in immigration and border control, the band claimed that Trump sent the FBI to Brujos home as an intimidation tactic.
