O’Donnell appeared in Wentworth Local Court, in far south-west NSW, in April and was found guilty of common assault, but escaped conviction.

The assault for which ODonnell was found guilty of occurred about 1am on Saturday, September 16, 2023, when police were called to a business in Broken Hill, after reports of an assault.

Police arrived and found a 38-year-old man who had suffered facial injuries. He was treated by paramedics at the scene. Following inquiries, police arrested a 34-year-old man.

He was taken to Broken Hill Police Station where he was charged with common assault.

ODonnell was granted conditional bail to appear before Broken Hill Local Court that November.

In April this year, ODonnell was sentenced to a conditional release order for a period of two years that will last until April 1, 2026.
