Elizabeth Warren squirms in failed bid to defend Joe Bidens mental state: Fair enough

Democratic Sen.

Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren was left squirming as a podcaster probed her about former President Joe Bidens mental decline.

Warren, 75, appeared on an episode of Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso, which was released Sunday.

Fragoso asked her directly: Do you regret saying that President Biden had a mental acuity, he had a sharpness to him? You said that up until July of last year. Do you think he was as sharp as you?

Bidens shocking performance in the June 27 Atlanta debate eventually pushed him out of the 2024 race on July 21.

I said I had not seen decline. And I hadnt at that point, Warren said of comments she made last summer.

Fragoso was incredulous.

You did not see any decline from 2024 Joe Biden to 2021 Joe Biden? the podcaster asked.

Warren continued to back Biden.

He - look, he was sharp. He was on his feet. I saw him at a live event. I had meetings with him a couple of times, Warren said.

The podcaster interjected.

Senator "on his feet" is not praise. "He can speak in sentences" is not praise, Fragoso said.

With that, Warren responded, Fair enough, fair enough.

The Massachusetts Democrat then tried to spin the conversation forward, outlining what Democrats in the Senate are trying to do to push back against President Donald Trumps agenda.

A number of books have been released recently that have shed greater light on Bidens condition including that he needed fluorescent tape stuck to the carpet to guide his way during public events.

President Donald Trump - and his White House staff - were still mocking Biden on Monday.

During the annual Easter Egg Roll, Trump called attention to a 2022 viral moment in which a White House aide, dressed as the lady Easter Bunny, shooed the aging president away from reporters who were quizzing him about foreign policy.

Do you remember the bunny with Joe Biden? Trump asked. Remember? Do you remember when the bunny took Joe Biden out? Hes not taking Trump out. That was a beautiful moment, when the bunny saved Joe Biden.

He repeated the comment moments later.

You remember when the bunny saved Joe Biden? he asked Egg Roll attendees. The bunnys not going to save me, right? I got a better bunny.

The White Houses social media accounts posted Trump making the joke - and the footage of Biden.

BREAKING: The White House is no longer a nursing home, the post said.
