Dramatic footage shows the moment armed police raided a tent filled with £30,000 worth of cannabis and cocaine.

Officers recovered 2.5kg of cannabis, with an estimated street value of £20,000, and 94 grams of high-purity cocaine, worth an estimated £8,500, from the camp in Hernhill near Faversham, Kent.

The tent was used by dealers Anthony George, 57, and Karn Martin, 36, who were charged and later admitted being concerned in the supply of class A and B drugs.

George, who was found and arrested by officers on the site, saw DNA tests link him to the package of the cocaine.

Martin was later caught and arrested at his home in Whitstable after his finger and palmprint were found in the tent.

On September 26, Martin was jailed for three years and George for two years and ten months at Canterbury Crown Court.

Detective Sergeant Jon Saxby said: These two men thought they would avoid detection by hiding their drugs on a plot of land, but our actions show we will track down dealers wherever they are trying to operate and bring them to justice.

Work at the scene meant they were both quickly arrested and our investigation gave them no alternative but to admit the charges.

We will continue to disrupt drug network activity, especially that which fuels violence, and put those involved behind bars.
