The small community of Piperton, Tennessee, is mourning the loss of two of their own after a car crash in Southaven last Tuesday killed a cherished pastor and his wife.
Senior pastor of Kirk Baptist Church, Dr. Bobby Mullins, 73, was returning home with his wife Wanda, 67, when their car was struck on Church Road - killing Bobby instantly. Wanda succumbed to her injuries and died two days later.
The couple was on their way home from Baptist DeSoto Hospital where Wanda worked as an ICU waiting room receptionist when they were struck.
The car rolled about four or five times, sending the couple off the roadway.
Police have not released any new information on the crash or how many cars were involved but cited an open investigation into the cause.

The couple was married for 44 years and are survived by their three children and four grandchildren
Just a week before the accident, Pastor Mullins shared a sermon from 2008 on Facebook titled Living Like Youre Dying. It has accumulated more than 85,000 views so far.
The sermon said: Only one life will soon be passed. Only whats done for Christ will last.
The children of the couple say their parents legacy of faith is still shining strong - even in the midst of all the grief.
Now even though theres such heartbreak, that Christ is still being glorified through all this, is just incredible, said their daughter, Mallory McNabb to WREG.
The couple had been married for 44 years. Together, they served in the ministry for 40 years. Through their four decades of marriage, they had three children and four grandchildren.
Both were born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and remained heavily involved in the church throughout their life. Growing up, Bobby was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church in North Carolina and Wanda was a member of Broadway Baptist Church.

Five years after Bobby graduated from the University of Tennessee, he met Wanda. They spent much of their early time together providing music for revivals and church banquets throughout the Mid-South area before tying the knot in 1980.
Since then, they had spent their decades-long marriage loving and serving God throughout multiple churches across the Tennessee and Mississippi area.
Bobby was said to be the more vocal and visible one of the two. He was a pastor at churches across the Mid-South since 1991. He has written two books and composed dozens of songs.
In 2009, Bobby founded Back To The Basics Ministries - a ministry with the purpose to encourage and help those who are making a fresh start of some kind in life and how to deal with it from a basic biblical view, because at some time we all need a fresh start, according to his bio.
Their obituary noted Wandas ministry as one that was found on the piano bench and behind the scenes. For Wanda, no task was too small and the less she was noticed the better.

The family and members of the church have taken to social media to share their tributes and memories to the couple. Videos shared by church-goers reflect the lasting influence they carried as well as the guidance and care they provided to the people they met along the way.

The children released a statement which shed more light into the tragedy where they said: We are shattered and shocked but have complete peace.
We know where our dad is as he most faithfully preached about the hope of Jesus Christ and Eternity week in and week out. But more importantly, he lived that hope out every day to his family.
