A furious Aldi shopper has slammed the supermarket after he discovered a pack of meat weighed less than what was advertised.
The customer uploaded a video to social media platform X after he bought a pack of three star beef mince.
I Just bought some mince from Aldi, labelled 500g on the packet, he said.
He then showed the chunk of meat placed on top of the scales of a weighing machine.
The display on the machine revealed the meat actually weighed 412g.
The shopper wasnt impressed and expressed his displeasure.
What the hell Aldi? he said.
Many social media users were left outraged with some calling to boycott the supermarket.

Some were quick to point out a minor detail on the label that supermarkets dont have to specify how much a product weighs.
The magic ‘e’ indicates the actual weight will be less than advertised. Theoretically, it means the weight could be either under or over, one wrote.
The e next to the weight designates estimate. They [major supermarkets] all do it, another person wrote.
Internationally, the mark is used to certify that the contents of the package comply with specified criteria for estimation.
Others thanked the shopper for checking the actual weight while others expressed their shock.

Customers have raised the issue of the weight labels when they purchased packs of meat from other supermarkets.
